My first one spawned in a small mountain town aswell.
Heck, my character spawned in one ten days ago!

The only good thing in big towns is survival. Other than that your character will get nowhere at all.

If that's the case, considering that I'm sure Jos envisioned the world full of people, with many in every town, we have a really friggin big problem. That means that the game is fundamentally unsustainable.

Oh, ok. Thanks for pointing out my ignorance.

I think that "spawn on demand" - nominally "reproduction" - would be the best solution for these problems, since it leaves more control to the societies within the game to manage their population.

The point why I started this thread is because the lack of newspawns is destroying some groups that are powerful... But won't be if they don't get anymore newspawns.

Send recruiting officers in densely populated cities?

At nearly the same time this thread was started, a thread about the same topic was was created in the German forum. I wonder if there have been some changes to spawning mechanic recently or if this is just coincidence.

It has been this way for a while now... I just got enough that I have seen powerfull groups suffer because of no newspawns while other towns who doesn't need any get many newspawns.

Nay. The spawn system sucks simply. And it has been over an year that me and other Portuguese players have realized it. Or that "change" affected us earlier somehow.

Yes it really sucks at the moment.... And sometimes ( I know unreasonable) I think that someone tries to destroy powerfull groups by making sure they don't get any newspawns.

This. I've found newspawns aren't all that good. Some of them fall asleep and some walk away unwilling to join you. So in the end it takes a while to get a couple of good new grunts. At least recruited people are more motivated.

I don't know there are plenty of old and unestablished people just...wandering around doing nothing. Why don't people ever try to recruit THEM?
