I'd like for Toucans to be in:

Zuzi Hills and Zuzi

Reniov Desert

Kiii Desert, Kiii North, and Kiii

The Four Reniov Forests

---

Its very important culture there... so...

Oh, and I know some of the places may not be able to have toucans... Also, in Zuzi and Kiii, it'd be awesome to have the toucans to be skyrocketed and be at very high numbers.

If Cantrians have been as stupid as humans and have wiped out a species, should they be magically re-incarnated?

But yes, we certainly need the tortoises in Treefeather lands.

There's not much challenge in life on Baaak hills / Mulof region now that all the lions are gone, so it would be nice if there were some, but if they get awfully violent then people will naturally kill them again. There should be pigeons on that region too, and maybe some new birds as well. I imagine the region to be pretty much like some places in Africa, with these little birds that clean up hippos (although there are no hippos in Baaak).

Toucans have always been in Kiii and Zuzi but I haven't heard of them spreading on to other regions. In my opinion it would be natural for them to spread all the way to Siom and the forests and hills in between, but not the desert. Also it would be natural that there were more toucans in Kiii and Zuzi because they have been protected for years, even decades. So they should know it's safe in there. I think it would be cool if there were geckos or some other big lizards on the desert. And how about scorpions. I remember there was one scorpion in Naron forest but it got killed. I think small animals should dodge because otherwise they're too easy to kill.

Yes, i think they should be magically reincarnated. Sadly they can't build fences as yet to keep them in one place like we could in real. If they couldn't roam then there still would be Lions in MacGregor lands because they were not hunted because of strict age old laws. So this was already their way of preserving the species. It was a Lion reserve with no fences, so extinction was bound to happen when the poor things went travelling, something Cantrians couldn't stop. So i think it's a programming extinction and not the poor Cantrians fault. Same with a few animals i would imagine that were actually cared for by some towns, but again with path roaming they couldn't stop them leaving and this sent them to extinction.
And wouldn't it be good to see Crocodiles again in the swamps.

Raccoons and other forest creatures in Plaekur forest. When my character moved there 50 years ago, there were no animals at all. Then some hawks travelled there. I think there were raccoons too sometimes, but never many. It's a place with bananas so there could be monkeys too.

I would agree with this but MakeBeliever brings up a good point about a lack of fencing or a lack of an ability to protect the species against random guests and newspawns who hit 'em anyway.

Didn't this thread start out by asking which species should be kept? How has this turned into reintroducing extinct species? These are two quite different things.

The toucans need to stay in Zuzi or Kii, or wherever they are.

Toucans:

The Toucans of Cantr island are bottlenecked right now between hills and desert. In the locations that they now reside, their population is doing very well indeed.

There are 4 things I can do:

1) Manually seed them into the surrounding regions
2) Allow them to reside in hills.
3) Both
4) Nothing

Keeping them bottlenecked lends to cultural diversity and the uniqueness of the region, but I don't see logically why a bird that the RD allowed to populate a grassland can't also populate the hills. (I would have put them in forests and jungles exclusively, but it's too late for that now).

I won't make a change on this unless there is some serious discussion about it.
