Damn! You know, one of my chars waited for a week a spot to collect wood in a really crowded forest. He got it... Saturday morning...
He sure is gonna be ready tomorrow

. . .as the past three days were some of the finest I have ever played in this game and now it's all shot to hell, I'm pretty goddamn pissed off.

Mhm, only now i realise there's a drawback to my tendency off making my chars finish projects at midnight GMT :)
Why is it the clock is on day 1679, shouldn't it reset as well?

I've just been copy/pasting right out of my turn logs. If everyone else plays along, you'll have your three days back in no time. Of course, as soon as someone throws a deviation in, then it's all over.

This really really sucks for me. Here are some things that are screwed cause of this.

First of all: I proposed to a girl and she said yes, and now I don't knwo if i ask her again or what. Kinda weird.

Secondly: I had robbed 2000 grams of popcorn off of the ground and ate it, and now since the clock reset before then, the town leader went and picked up the popcorn because he knew I would take it. I think that is sorry RPing there.

Thirdly: Since my charrie stole something 2 days ago and got away, when the clock went back they threw me straight in jail even though I ha not even commited the crime yet(kinda like th Minority Report movie).

Those are just three things. I had also written many long notes about different towns and laws ect... Now I have to rewrite them all over again. This just really sucks.

I just finnished rewriting an intire characters jurnal because of a decision to change how to RP him... now his journal is reverted, so I figured what the hell and totally reworked his character... time magic can have some nasty consisquences

I also lost a charie I just got to spawn on one of the islands  I always wanted an island charie.

Over all I'm kinda pissed, though I for one am RPing it as creartively as possible, if we can't have wars to excite the Cantr world, acts of God are the next best thing

one of my chars is trying desparately to figure out what he did over that three days that he wasn't supposed to do. obviously the gods have given him a second chance, but he doesn't know why. he's very troubled. what if he undoes the wrong thing?

one of chars and her boyfriend decided to have a quickie while they were alone in town, knowing that someone is about to arrive, but they aren't sure when, and the possibility of being caught in the act has them both pretty worked up.

others are seeing lots of headaches, and some confusion.

mushrooms are being blamed.

in one location, a tragic death has yet to be rediscovered, and the chars involved are playing as those they don't know they're going to discover a tragic death.

one char lost a large order, a new home, and a marriage proposal. if she's lucky, it's a temporary setback.

someone isn't going to jail after all. he decided the dream was a warning and didn't do the crime.

It's stupid to say we can't use the information in-game. In every town my characters are in, it's a 'dream sequence' or a 'time travel' for them, and by God they're gunna flaunt that information.

I admit that I am not finding it easy to pretend that the last three days didn't happen. So... I'm just kind of playing it as it goes. :P

Thank you, Chris, for your hard work to get everything back up and running. I'm sure that most of us can deal with a little time warp better than have no cantr at all. :)

I've been reading the forums and listening to the conversations in chat for a little while now. I don't see why all the complaints are going on. Cantr is a free game. The staff do what they can to fix problems as they come up. I have several characters myself that this database problem tends to cause problems for since we've had to go back three days. But what's happened, happened. It's not like the staff killed the server on purpose to screw up all your characters lives. I'm not exactly happy that I have to go through certain thigns again or that they'll be played differently now but you deal with things as they happen. Chris and Jos...I'm sure others on staff have been working hard to save what they could. It's not the staff's fault that the database was corrupted. I think being reverted back a few days isn't that big of a deal if you look at the whole picture. So you have to do things a little different...maybe certain people were supposed to die and didn't...so find another way. Big deal. It's a game, get over it and move on. I do want to thank those on staff working so hard to solve the problem. Lost three days but it could have been a lot worse and I appreciate the hard work and the time they spent putting the game back in working order as quickly as they did.

I'm just playing by "if it doesn't show up in my character events, it didn't happen" Anyways, why can't you report them taking the popcorn, locking you up or whatever as a CRB...after all, the events in the character show that there is no in character reason for such a thing to have happened....unless the town is crazy, then nevermind. You know, I really dislike the revert because from what it seems, there were some hard working rp that hadn't happen in a while...and then it was all for nothing.
