If all your characters died in a war would you keep playing?

From a wider perspective, I welcome with open arms anything that creates such a wide-ranging effect on such a scale.
But at one point I did loose my only interesting and active characters in the space of a month.
I had six characters, lost the three active ones.
I now have about 10 characters, more than I've ever had, almost all of them are newspawns, and even a few months later, I'm finding it very hard to keep interested in Cantr.
I'd forgotten how difficult it is being a newspawn, and how boring the old islands are (which has been where my new characters have spawned...)

Whoever you vote for.

Don't be mischievous, Phalynx
I was refering to a REALLY unlikely situation in with all my chars would dead at hands of a handful of cheaters. It can't happen. Moreover, my chars are clever enough to run when there is no solution, so even without PD watching over the justice in Cantr, some of my chars would have great chances of survival.

Let's start a war. Killing is always amusing

I would stay, there would really be no point in quitting. I mean, its not like your characters are going to live forever. If there was a war on that large of a scale, then it would actually be more interesting to play as something like that would take a very long time to play out. It would create some great RP elements, although at the cost of some...well a lot of peoples characters. I say bring it on

if you think about it, with the number of weapons that currently exist that ofcourse would be droped by the dead along with the vast increase in newspawns it would cause that could pick up those weapons, a war on that scale would likely take several RT months if not years to resolve. The only way it could really end is if massive "dead zones" formed between the major factions such that it becomes to far ro travel to get to the nearest enemy.
Chances are many of your new characters would grow up through the war as older ones die off. Imagine the cultural and psycological ramifications
, it would kick ass.

This would, in my opinion at least, be the best thing to happen to the game right now. Sure, people would be pissed that their chars get killed, but that just makes the game more enjoyable.
I had a char that spawned in a mountain area that had two people. No food, no resources that could help and no way to really cook meat that would fall if he was to actually kill something. So I had him move on and after two locations he finally came to an abandoned area that had some unfinished repair projects. He finished them up and got himself a knife and a bone shield out of it, as well as some food to gather. At that time, I felt I should have him leave to gather some healing foods somewhere as the animals were starting to tear him up. I finally make it to a place that had some healing foods, and there were actually a couple people there as well. I am guessing they didnt want someone coming in their area because they killed him in two hits. I had that character for about a month and in that time it was probably one of the funnest (is that a word?) to play because of the fact that he could die at any moment.

It would be interesting points of view on war and the politics of war. Heck, I'd probally commit a few characters effected by the war to being a part of it. While I love playing my characters, death of one only means with a) I screwed up or b) I was having a fun time.hey, maybe one of my char's could be a general... hmmm... lots of RP possibilities in a war.
Good luck having a character spawn where the war was, though
