Many of my charries knows three of the main islands of Cantr World. There's no gram of herbs on them.

Question is: Where are herbs? and Is the herb garden really usefull?

If the list of herbs to be grown is checked, we found there are a lot of types, more than twenty, I think. I don't want to have all the types in an island, but maybe two or three of them? For instance, island A has lemon and myth, island B has hammalelis and levander, then a trade could be made between the charries of the two islands! It's so simple! But... Why putting all the herbs in 1 or 2 islands? They should be distributed equaly among all the Cantr World, not only in the Swedish area, as it was said!

And sorry for saying this, but the English wiki creates confussion to players many times, because of the lack of information of the wrong data it shows as valid ones.

Herbs when placed were not placed on the older islands. This actually makes herb gardens more useful since there is more desire to cultivate these exotic substances.

It is a longstanding policy not to add new resources to old islands. There have been a few exceptions to that, (timber, beeswax, resin...) but in general that is the way things work. Notice how you don't see alot of otherwise common resources, such as grass on the older islands.

*nods* But... Which is the point of putting all the herbs on an isolated island? You may say: "C'mon, just discover it!" OK, that's fine, nice trip... But, couldn't be just an herb -only one- set on the old islands?

Just to find some use for the herb garden which has been created.

Yiupiiii!!!! Here's he/she!!! Just wait for me, I'm starting a 30-40 years journey just to find you! Because you have all the herbs to be collected...

But.. Well...

City where I do belong has only 3 resources...

Compare it with "SIL" :x

Herb? What's a herb? :?

Not one of my characters has ever seen such a thing, and several of them are--or were--fairly major traders or otherwise significant persons at many of the big seaports, including Drojf, Seatown, Siom, Dory, Baaak, Naron, etc, etc. Given the current level of turnover in the game it is only marginally likely that a character will live long enough to find a herb. It is almost inconceivable that they will live long enough to return home with one. I therefore regard herb gardens as an irrelevant waste of time.

Talapus, the word "longstanding" is frequently used in place of the word "stupid" because it sounds more polite. Try doing the substitution and you'll see what I mean.

What I was trying to say, was that it was a policy that I had nothing to do with.

Aren't herb gardens just test-runs for farms?

And now I know why your characters often make such outstanding diplomats.

:? Really? Well, if I had the name of the herb I could try scanning my logs, but I certainly don't remember that. I suspect I didn't know what it was for.

I hope not, because ideally farms should be something like enclosures...that is to say, more like buildings but more open to conversation in the way that vehicles are. Anyhow, that's what I'd like to see.
