That log needs to be edited out. As of the date stamp on it, it's not even 4 days after the last event (3077, and it's only 3080- that's 3 days). Besides the fact that it's not exactly some minor event like a harmless joke (depending on how you look at it).

You can be angry at a character for doing something to yours, but don't bother airing it out like that on the public forum. It's not going to really change anything that happened or make anyone feel sorry for your character. Some characters in Cantr are dicks (perhaps more than some) and unfair things happen. That's just how it goes. It's just a game.

It sounds as if Mojo (Nocenti) ain't too popular here. Not that I've ever met him, but one of my chars has heard of him.

Hmmm…this might out one of my characters to at least one person, but I roleplay that one so badly I don't really know if it matters. Anyways, the annoying crazy newspawns of the Hofran province.

I don't want to name him, he's awful nice, but it's more bad RP than anything (I seem to have misplaced the bad rp thread, feel free to move this if you like).
He'll post entire thoughts in his *actions*. And not stuff that I would consider more helpful or something, like, *he pauses thoughtfully, thinking deeply*. No, it's like, *he pauses, thinking about the advanced state of decay that the world has come to, when suddenly people can read a person's every thought on their face*. And his grammatical and spelling errors are murdering me--I'm a bit a of grammar nazi, and every 5th word is missing a letter or has the wrong tense or plural.
ARGH!
It's the player that irritates me, really!

Things like spelling improve with time as the player sees how those around them play. Sometimes if Im in a hurry and writing something really long or trying to get my 2 cents in when lots of people are talking my grammer and spelling goes to hell.

Differences/errors in spelling or grammar look like accent of that character to me. :) It doesn't bother me. Sometimes the best RPing players can make grammar errors, and I find those people who correct the mistakes by ooc messages irritating.

That bothers me as well but when people put whole sentences with no periods or commas and it's just one long run on I picture them as saying it without pausing or taking a breath which sounds very juvenile and annoys me.
:|
And the atrocious spelling...I can't even stand to read what you're writing, or take it seriously if it's spelled as bad as, say, Lucid's up there. I'm really hoping you're joking because I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I read in what I think of as "real-time"; I read fast enough that it creates a picture and dialogue in my head and when I have to stop and go back and go, "Oh, you're not "your" or there was supposed to be a period or a comma there" it disrupts my train of thought, jolts me out of character, and it's like a DVD skipping. It's frustrating.
Edit: And all I want to do is correct you, lucid. How am I supposed to concentrate on what you're saying when you can't take two seconds to backspace and spell "two" instead of "to" or "too" or any variation of such? Is it that hard to slow down and actually concentrate on what you're saying? In this edit alone I've caught and corrected myself 6 times (7 now) including backspacing full words and it's taken me maybe a minute to write.
It just bugs me.

This would get an OCC message from me. I have seen something like this before and the whole town start whispering to that char at once. I suggest starting over like it never happened with hello my name is. It fixes it and the player doesnt seem like they are being pummeled by every player that read ^.

I was kidding, but I will never go back to read over every sentence I write. I prefer my thoughts to be more spontaneous, as in verbal communication, so inevitably there will be some spelling mistakes and homonym errors along the way. I read much quicker than average as well (as I assume many people playing Cantr do) but I don't find these kinds of errors disrupt my thought at all as the meaning is quite straight forward from the context. I by no means know where every comma or punctuation mark is supposed to go and even if I did I wouldn't obsess over it for in game writing. Nonetheless, I will now feel slightly more self conscious while playing knowing there may be such harsh critics reading my words.

That's not what I mean at all. Of course, a misplaced letter or your or even those instances when you places all of your fingers to the right or left of the keys and it comes out gibberish (which you have to correct) I don't mind (and I've seen it happen).
But when someone consistently cannot take the time to add the extra "o" to too or switches all the "your"s around and leaves off a letter every 5 or 6 words, well that just laziness or bad education.
If you are going to play a text based computer game, it's only common sense you should be at least a proficient typist...typer? What's the term for that type of person? It's typist isn't it? Anyway:
My main gripe with the character/player in question was that they were emoting thoughts...because my character has suddenly become a mind reader?
And I don't know whether to talk to the character OOC about it or what. I feel bad, 'cause he seems kind of nice, but he's one of the major chars interacting with mine (one of the only ones) and it's killing the whole character experience.
