The Sociologist wrote:Well, by now the entire region knows that "Gohanez really wants Robie dead." This was not exactly the best-kept secret in Cantr, and the posts here are not much different to the reams of anti-MacGregor propaganda launched by certain parties in the past. Or that launched against Mary Williams, etc, etc. Albeit that the stakes involved are at a decidedly lower level of umm... shall we say "cultural and technological development"?

I'm just curious how this got into the "Unique Characters" thread.

I'm sorry I guess we have been getting pretty off tipic, I just really felt like venting and I figured starting a new thread to do it in would be even worse. But just to clarify I'm not trying to launch 'propaganda' against Robie Elgas, I mean, the Barons have done a whole lot worse and I'm not out to get them, the difference is the players of the Barons that I know of aren't half as irritiating or confrontational. Within one days of the actions of my character, Thetaris has called me arrogant, jealous, a CR breacher, lied to me over PM (not that it was that one big of deal, but I kind of felt like he was insulting my intelligence given all the posts he'd made about Robie before that, and after the last one where he talked about all his plans there's no way he could be anyone else). I'd never really even noticed him before all this and we haven't interacted at all on the forum, and he's seemed to only start singling me out after what my char did in Zhift Forest, which shouldn't have anything to do with me as a player in the first place. Either that or he's still mad that I got mad over all the OOC blabber he and deadboy were doing during the fight...

And at the same time he seems paranoid about people breaching the CR in general (even a woman who's helping his char, though I bet he'd never accuse her with a public OOC message), but doesn't even follow it himself? According to the date he joined theforum, he's been playing twice as long as I have, so if I get the CR already why doesn't he?

Anyway! Rant over, got it out of my system, I'm done here and not posting about it again.

To get this back on topic, I think Thad of Blaman Mountains is (was?) a unique character, he was always fun to be around and his player is a great RPer. :)

Finally!! The recognition he deserves! Thank you. Thad was the first of my charries to show up in the forums from anyone besides hermi ;)
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

Well, okay then maybe I've mentioned her, and maybe I agreed with someone on some others, but I definitely wasn't the first :D

A bunch of newpawns are odd. They either don't know how to play the games, talk as a player, or just don't care about dying. (newspawn theives and trouble makers) One recently odd and abusive one: Stig, and he doesn't even care if he dies.

Haha What's wrong with that? He is just misunderstood.

Stig is well played, deliberate in receiving the consequences of his actions. No one misunderstands him. If you mean Rand, that's a whole other story.

Joshuamonkey wrote:Actually I know the truth between Stig and Cassy. But I can't say anything.

I always laugh when I see that. Heck, first, it's two different people. Further, it's two different characters from two different people. There's at least a couple points of view right there. And then, if you're not one of the two people involved, and I know you're not Cassy, then you don't know squat.

Truth.

That's funny.
