I know that I wouldn't want to have to pretend I'm being raped.

I see where you come from, Seeker, I really do...
But how fun is it to pretend you're chased by a furious mob, and slowly being hacked into pieces while begging for mercy? Is that any worse than being raped, really?

I guess it is for most of us, but that's just because if one of our character dies, no matter how much we liked the person, we can always create another one. But I hope you see my point, again, that rape should be less, or at least no more, traumatic than being killed?

In real life it's a tragedy and a sick thing to happen to anyone.

But your characters are in Role play land. Your character not yourself.
So before you shout " Help I'm being Word Raped". because thats all it is.
You could give that person trying a verbal bashing through your character.

Jack says...*pushes her to the ground*
Laughing Victim says *Falls softly in a fit of giggles, standing and dusting herself down before
approaching Jack with a swift knee to the groin area*
Jack says ...*grabs hold and tries taking her clothes off*
Laughing Victim says *chuckles taking hold of his fingers and yanking them awkwardly backwards with a sharp cracking sound*I'm telling you now this fur bikini just wont look as good on you as me.

I mean if you can't fight back when it's imaginary when are you going too.
What's the worst to happen, Your character could be hit with a weapon.

But unfortunately these people sometimes don't roleplay. Instead of going along with it and pretending to try take her clothes of, he already is have wild sex with her, whether she likes it or not. Like I said before, she could pretend to run away, hide behind something...or even push him into a pile of mud he can't get out of. But whatever she does the rapist just magically manages to get out of something (unrealistically, "he jumps out and then rips off her clothes"). The main issue is that some of these people are sick, sex-deprived, people without friends that don't care how they get their cyber. People that don't even roleplay properly for it.

She pushes his hand away
he rips off her clothes
she slaps him and pushes him in the mud
he starts to touch her
she ties him to a tree
he licks her...

I've never come across a "Prat" who has tried this.
I've never come across a character in game that has suffered this.
I'm guessing you get you sicko's every though.
If they don't react to your roleplay back, then it has to be a sick CR Breach.
I would report it.
If it happened in a heavily populated area, i'm sure they wouldn't last too long.

Yeah, that would be the kind of terrible RP I was talking about, the kind that should get a person reported if they refused to stop.

(And it's completely impossible to rip someone's clothes off anyway - the victim would have to do it themselves. Taking items away from another char has never been implemented. If a person is too dense to even realize that I'd put a stop to the whole thing and hit them with an OOC message about basic game mechanics right there.)

God-moders, as I politely call them.
It isn't even cyber, cyber would still involve two people interacting.
What those creeps do has nothing to do with interacting.
After some 10 years of experience on IRC, I've seen my share of such people.
In one case it even got to a point where one kept harrassing a friend of mine, after she repeatedly told him very clearly that she was not interested... so I got involved.
What followed then went a bit like this:
stupid guy: "I'm an excelent cyberer, if only she would open up!"
me: "No, you're someone who likes to see himself type out sick stuff."
stupid guy: "Hey, I just type faster than her"
me: "Speed of typing has nothing to do with it."
stupid guy: "All great cyberers type fast."
me: "No, all great cyberers take time to read what their cybering-partner writes, then take time to properly react to it. Desperate [unfriendly word] like you type fast because they like to beat off over their own typing."
stupid guy: "you don't know anything about cyber, so shut up!"
me: "That's what you think, but how about we find out? You get to pick whether you want to be the giver or the receiver."
stupid guy: ** Quit: stupid guy's nickname!some ident@some hostmask **

I had long believed it to be an IRC-only issue, but since then I saw it on Yahoo, on msn, on ICQ and it seems there's creeps like that everywhere.
Myself, I don't mind seeing a well-played cyber, though I won't go chasing after it, and I'm not likely to take part in it, but someone who just likes to see himself type at the expense of the pleasure of others, well, that's just not right.
