Re: Character Exploits
There is no Liz Haven statue in those islands (or wasn't about 20ig years ago).
We thought we found her dead on a raker of peculiar construction early when there were less than 10 people on the whole of the islands and buried her at sea near the place with a vital mineral used to make iron. Due to the dearth of notes, this may be speculation though.

Re: Character Exploits
I've always wondered about the Fetus! Squat! Squat! building in Dom Hofran. I guess Tangential's story explains it.
Jaina Valjean survived two pirate attacks, although lost friends on both cases. She had a vision of the Temple in her old days and built it together with Fregef, although he has added more details after she died. She was buried in the secret room beneath the floor of the Main Nave. I don't know if they ever allow visitors in the crypt.
One of my living characters, whose identity still isn't public knowledge - although some might recognize him from this post, once boarded an old enemy's ship while it was unlocked for some reason, tried to hit her and escaped after missing. He was chased for days and had to abandon his ship, but apparently the chasers had forgotten to bring a dinghy, because no one docked to his sloop, and he was able to catch up with the ship and reclaim control of it. Later he randomly ran into the old galleon that has been stolen from him, after pretty much losing hope of ever seeing it again, recruited some people to help and reclaimed the galleon, killing the thief with one of his helpers. Then he gave his raker to the other helper. It's now sitting abandoned in a harbor somewhere. One of my other characters saw it randomly but of course doesn't know the story behind it.
Pharap Jahrot was once the most famous traveling trader on Cantr and Treefeather, but he suffered a stroke and lost his wife to the sleeping sickness soon after, so he couldn't find the will to live for much longer. Before he died, he made arrangements for his ship to be delivered to Tircqi (his spawn town), but it's still in this one harbor on Treefeather, so apparently it never worked out.
I had a character called The Dark Incarnation from 943 to 1757. He had some followers during his lifetime. He researched death and injuries. He used to live in some part of Hills of Hilloi. He once witnessed someone being hit in the head so bad it caused blindness. It would be interesting if somebody found the case study on that.
Brighton Hakim might be the only person who changed his mind about becoming a Blackrock and lived to tell the tale. When Blackrocks took over LFe, people were encouraged to join them. At first he was going to roll with it but then changed his mind. He moved away with his girlfriend Haley Harris, and they settled in Olip North. He only sailed once and was awful at it. I had him unable to set a course that was divisible by 5. That was sort of interesting to play out. He eventually killed himself because he couldn't handle Haley's sleepiness. She walked in on him hurting himself but didn't say anything. That was awkward.

Jaina got keys to pretty much everything in a small town once the previous leader had died and declared herself a leader even though there were older people present, and no one ever questioned her leadership. Still in charge some 50 years later or so.
Hannah convinced Danea Mathabane that she would make a good mayor when she was just five days old and she's been leading Seatown Hills ever since.
Lewis picked up a lot of keys in Quillanoi and had access to ten buildings, hurt some people and managed to stay alive for a couple of days after. Managed to lure a couple of people into buildings and lock them up, including the captain of the guard and probably inspired one of the witnessing guards to go insane later in life and murder an innocent sod who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Jonas... I've written what he did in other threads. I don't remember how many he killed anymore but I think he did pretty well. Being on a low-tech region may have helped, and finding an unlocked bike.
One that's still anonymous managed to run unscathed from a heavily armed man who has several vehicles.
Several of my characters have survived near-death situations or captivity. Also some have murdered without ever getting caught.
