Oh i have an annoyance..well more of a rant. I'm not too big on people playing "kids" or under developed characters..what have you, but I accept them. My annoyance is if you are going to adopt one of these kids as your own. You need to raise them and not desert them Already seen a few deadbeat parents in Cantr lol.

I wanna play a character that locks them up in a steel cage for acting like animals.

There was this developmentally delayed girl whose caretakers separated and she first went with one of them, that didn't work out because of a communication breakdown, so she was returned to the other half of the separated couple, and now he's taking care of her with his new girlfriend. I find it pretty awesome that stories like this can happen in Cantr. It's also great that no one has ever tried to take advantage of her. It restores my faith in humanity.

This =) I always feel happy when I see the more innocent and childlike characters being protected and taken care of, I have a couple of characters whose lives basically depend on people not just falling asleep on them or leaving them because they're mentally unfit to do things on their own, none of mine have parents persay but usually it's the entire town looking out for them, which is very cute =P "it takes a village", right?

I wish the characters that my characters interact with were more involved. It seems like many don't care whether they are slaving away at endless projects or get the chance to branch out into their own directions. The only initiative people -ever- take is the decision to leave. It wouldn't suck so much if they didn't get into my way by being stagnant. You can't have it both ways, arghh.

The real rant here is at the fact that there are characters out there mine would interact so well with, but they are somewhere else entirely. Maybe the world is a bit too big, but then huge towns aren't a good idea either. And I kinda like how big the world is.

Yeah like, in my case, I see some characters that I think wow, this person is dead, they barely say anything, and then they go home or whatever, and later I hear how awesome this character is and how active and how good their RP is and I'm like really? They were a total bore when they were visiting my character, that sucks. I feel like I miss out on the good characters sometimes, and when I get the chance to see them they don't interact with mine because they already have friends or whatever, I dunno what it is =\ some of mine are shy too and that doesn't help I guess.

EDIT: I'd like to add another thing that always annoys and puzzles me: When a thief/attacker goes through, or someone left who you need to go stop, you're inside or in a vehicle, someone reports it but doesn't point where they went, and even though you're awake a second later, they've already fallen asleep for the day so you wait like all day before they tell you which road person went down, after they've already gotten away =P

[quote="Snickie"]When I saw accents, I immediately thought of the music symbols that tell you to attack a note with more volume (stylitically, of course). I'm such a music nerd. xD

-=-=-

A long time ago, I once saw somebody do this:

xxxx-x.xx a man in his twenties says: "Is there anything I can do around here? *he speaks with a British accent*"

I didn't take that character very seriously. lol

-=-=-

Its a shame thats no longer allowed. I base my character's voices and looks on certian races. Its a bit annoying trying to do that without being actually allowed to point that out, leaving people to just guess what they are and hope they are right. You get banned if you put russian or irish or whatever in your desc.

Really? I've never seen that mentioned before, and I would think they'd have told me, seeing as my one of my characters in her eighties has had a British accent in her description her whole life, and the last time I made a mistake in a description they sent me an email warning like 5 minutes later, so... if that's true they must not give warnings anymore. But really that should be mentioned more clearly somewhere, I see a ton of characters with mentions of nationality accents. Do I have to change my description now? And what about all the times I said her accent was British on the radio? No one ever called me out. I would really appreciate if people tell me when I'm breaking the rules, I don't wanna get banned =\ this game is literally my life, that would kinda kill me.

I agree. Also, if we aren't allowed to mention accents, then I don't think characters should be allowed to type with them in their dialogue either. And I have come across a fair few who rp their characters with accents even if they don't make sense because those places where the accents would have originated don't exist and the character had spawned with the accent and had never been elsewhere to pick it up.

Yeah I mean.. I would think emotes and descriptions are for the benefit of the player anyway, obviously the character never says "I'm British", no one ever says "I like your British accent", they don't know what British is, but the /player/ does, and it's for the player's benefit, to add one more detail to the image of a fictional person you have to piece together in your mind from a description. I actually like it, I have a hard time imagining characters' voices if it's not mentioned and some RPed accents are so confusing I just assume they're all pirate accents... But you know, there's no Poland in Cantr but we still call Polish Polish, there's no England but we still call English English, so if a person has a British accent, just because there's no Britain, we have to exclude the word from our own vocabulary when the character isn't using it? For that matter it should be against the rules for people to call the languages English instead of "Cantreefeatherian" or Spanish instead of Hislandese, right? I'm just saying...

Nobody has been banned for that alone.

Repeated offenses or misuse of features could cause those features to be revoked but that alone will not get you banned.

Some days you meet players/characters that are just so effortlessly amazing that you wonder what you have been doing all this time, and it almost puts you off RPing with everyone else.

I've only had one character/player do that for me. He is an amazing writer.

First time in my cantr life I saw a place with 0 resources :?
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
