Good quote :) Can I add it to both versions of Wiki? And I would extend it with statement about that wiki is OOC, so chars can't tell that they know something from it or quote from it.

While this is a personal opinion of Kinvoya's that you happen to agree with, does not make this policy. Your addition I agree with, but I certainly disagree with Kinvoya's quote.

I know that this doesn't make it policy. I had to wait until someone from GAC will answer beffore adding this quote to wiki. But in my opionion it could be used like suggestion from fellow players to other players to better playing their chars roles, and not official policy. And I don't know why you don't agree with it Nick, it could make game more interesting...

I changed this in wiki. Now it is as suggestion from experienced players. Could it stay in this way?

Because in my opinion, doing that only disadvantages yourself against thsoe who don't.
The 'knowledge base' was suggested because experienced players knew more as players than new players. I know if I'm in a town that has never seen iron production, I'm not going to try to build an oven or a wooden bucket; I'm going to build a smelter and look for the ingredients on local maps. Okay sure, maybe it would be a bit odd to talk IC about animals you've never seen, but I think it's ridiculous to say you can remember what resources/animals/machines/veichles each character has seen over their lives. Especially when you have many characters, with long lives.

They can always keep diaries to reminder themselves what they saw.

Our chars all have different personalities, interests and, presumably IQs, right? What I said was meant to indicate that the chars do not necessarily know everything in the wiki. Their knowledge of things in the Cantr world should reflect their individuality.

If all of your chars are super-smart, super-capable, super-beings then, by all means, roleplay that they know everything there is to know. If they aren't then it would be more in-character for them to not automatically understand how to do complex things like make iron. If you can't keep at least a vague idea of what your chars know then you need to make notes or something.

I have the worst memory possible for all the events and items and people my chars have encountered but even I can remember if my char has traveled all over a continent or stayed in the same little forest her whole life and I am going to rp their knowledge base differently from each other.

Cantr isn't a competition, your chars don't win or lose (and neither do you), so you're chars are only as "disadvantaged" as you choose to make them. Players who don't or can't follow the forums or refer to the wiki are still going to be less knowledgeable in terms of all the ins and outs of the game, it's true.

I think KeVes is trying to come up with some condensed but acurate ways for the Polish players to be better and more knowledgeable players who don't accidently break the rules.

When I click into a character I turn into that character. Even the memory of the character. The same way I can read no matter what noise around me.

This is a difficult balancing act. It is part of the fun to have a character discover how certain things work, without any such reference as a Wiki, but, as often ranted about in these forums, repeatedly telling newspawns how to survive can get wearing. But if they're not given the information in some way, that will be fewer players... a constant worry. (I could go on a rant myself about this aspect, but iI'll stop there for now.)

Doesn't belong in this thread. But I believe it has been said that this is a bug, and knowingly exploiting a bug is against the rules.

Why doesn't it belong in this thread? Not to be discussed about, but just if the rules were changed.
