My exploits aren't as interesting as most of yours...
One of my girls started out as a newspawn in town and when everyone in the movement died and then everyone in town older than her passed away, she became the leader of the town and managed to convince people to stay and is now pratically confined in the Kitchen.
Another of my girls started out as a lowly sister of a church and when her mentor died, she became the sole custody of the Monastery. When someone else came and began telling her what to do and taking over what she thought of as her quiet retreat, she gave up the church instead of causing a big ordeal and became councilor of her town.
Another girl started out as being a sleeper locked inside a building. She wandered away when she was finally released and found the love of her life who died shortly after they were finally married of the sleeping sickness. With both the owner and her love dead, she has taken up the responsibility of the business and is now lost somewhere out in the mountains and gathering resources for when she finally does figure out how to get back to her new, rich business.
I have another girl that I can't go into too much detail but I will admit that she's my best rp yet.

<hEarty> I know that I am claustrophobic
<pie> did you live in a small house with a large family?
<pie> that would make me claustrophobic.
<hEarty> no
<pie>(oh my gosh, I did live in a small house... I'M CLOSTRAPHOVIC!!!) (just kidding.)

Hmm...
Creating a multi-volume encyploaedia on Cantrian machines, tools, resources etc. etc., probably the largest of the lot, it spread around a lot too... My character was often surprised to find a copy of it in towns he was visitng for the first time. The wiki made it obsolete (he got killed by a hit-and-run whilst in the desert)
Created a pixel-perfect map of the Burgeo Island and Kwor Island (using the in-game map, both from in-land and circumnavigation) - but never got to release it before being cut down
A newspawn who pitched in to help rebuild Kwor after the pirate attacks, and subsequently becoming one of the first councillors of Kwor. Kept the place tidy, amongst other things. Died at the hands of the Blackrocks.
Had a couple of succesful thieves, but they can get boring after a while.
That's about it for me and my major characters. I'm enjoying playing with the four that I have left, none of which have done anything major, have led fairly simple lives, but all are fun to roleplay. They'll probably be my last characters.

Against the rules, as I've heard.
About exploits...I've gained plenty from people dying. I've also gained more than a few leadership roles from people dying.

No, it's not against the rules if he used the in game map (he means the one on the location page) from his character travelling to create it. I don't know where you get the idea that it is against the rules.

My only great exploits so far have been with thieves, though I predict my political activists may have some success soon.
...stole a van filled with enough stuff to keep me rich for life. I was caught by the dude who owned it, though, but I managed to return the van and trick him out of everything in it.
...sweet-talked an impoverished town out of 9/10's of their food, then stole a sloop with a heap of riches in it and sailed away. A really, really, really lucky guy.

Re: Character Exploits
I have a love of history and so much was lost as players and chars faded away.
So, I will try to Necro this one and see if we can put up a little history.
Please keep in mind the 4 day rule and ongoing events.
Harold Teake (Heretic if you say it really fast)-- he was going to be a religious guy in siom before being captured by the (arguably) most famous pirate in Cantr. Stockholm syndrome set in and he fell in love with her and finally was killed in chasing the people who murdered her.
Susie Sussexx... Her speil was trying to say her name with a horrible lisp. "Thuthie thutheckth". She built up AFS with her partner before finally finishing her story in Blerk hills.
Leon...total rp in Olip. He had a Napoleon syndrome and hated everyone tall. Accidentally starved when I wasn't paying attention.
Justin case- he ran kirrinn for a long while and I purposely tried to play him boring. It was only after his loss that I found out how much the rigid style and dearth of emotes was seen well by others.
Talon- lot of life in Brunoi and some of those stories are still unfinished. I'll leave it there.
Robert Rand- A long journey from Pok, where he was falsely accused of rape. To the building up of Basil brush from building zero.
Salvatore Monella Blackrock- The whipping boy of the blackrocks who did his own share of whipping their enemies.
Seraphim de la Paz- The kevorkian char who also proved that a fortune could be made with nothing but effort.
Please keep it going, I love to hear chars stories.

Huh, interesting to learn. I've had a character on Haven recently and it's kind of sad how even an island that's been settled so recently (by Cantrian standards) has already lost so much of its history. There's no notes or anything that I've ever come across explaining who settled what or how it all came to be. I don't even have any idea who Liz Haven herself was...you think some town somewhere could have at least sprung for a statue of her. (disclaimer: I didn't get to visit every town)

I wonder how Mysteria is, seeing as it's about half a RL year since Sancho and Mila died.

Re: Character Exploits
I played Ben Klash in 2009 (about 2,200 Cantr days ago!), who founded the Klash Empire. We were rapidly growing in strength, and were hostile to those who bordered us - the MacGregors (are they still around?). The Klash Empire followers were absolute loyalists all the way to their deaths (apparently). Anyway, we were considerably powerful given the amount of time we had to grow. The MacGregors I believe (and the actual Seko character from SekoETC) ended up deciding that we were too risky to have in the region (correct!) and escalated our conflicts into war.
Ben Klash was beheaded, on his knees like scum. The roleplay leading up to, and during, his death was fantastic. It was a glorious way to go down.

I have to quote this post from here from 11 years ago because shortly after he was gone, Gabriella Mason spawned and that warehouse became her house. Noticceably funny because 40 years later her husband and another guy robbed the town and took off with her. She had spent years gaining respect in Dory, was known to be kind, hard working, and loved the administrative side of things (despite being unable to do basic math). She became vice-admiral of the Dory Navy, though let's be honest, she ran that thing. My favourite minor exploit with her was when dory and aky had an issue with a quarry that was supposed to be theirs, and she was asked to accompany a councillor to akypor for diplomatic talks despite having no real standing in the town. She was well respected. After her and Aiden left town, he took her into Blackrock territory, where they became prisoners. Separated from her husband and beaten down emotionally and mentally, she lived out the rest of her years quietly growing gardens of tea for the Blackrocks before she died.
Reniiya travelled all along cantr island by car, minus four or five towns where she couldn't get to the roads, in under two decades. Notable for never using anything for herself, donating everything she ever came in contact with. Notable for constantly picking up "strays" who would travel as her companions for sometimes days, sometimes decades. Known to be a bit of a party girl.
Raven KerkWas the first male caretaker of Seatown Forest in many many many years. Orchestrated the removal of co-leader Mya and Enoch and the bordello from the forest soon after they settled. Didn't ever do much impressive, except lead a double life the last few years, travelling to roxy in black sands a few times. Died a few hours walk from moving there permanently because I can't add!
Jaiden Her exploits basically included being abusive and drunk and notorious on one end of Noniwrok for 30 years.
Josu Chirlan Kidnapped by pirates who almost starved him to death. Two days from starving was rescued....By Adam Brinks. So. Short life of service. Massacred a few towns before he went mad and killed himself.
Teya Murtsleh Completed a list of things to do within a decade to push herself with the help of complete strangers. Lived most of her life before that doing odd jobs for no pay, and most her life after that doing odd jobs for Madame Crystal (or was it Crystalia).
Julie May Got some keys given to her randomly up in Sring-Sri by a dude that took off, gaining access to the town's wares. She used her new found access to help push along the building/furnishing of the Inn, clothing/paying newspawns and assist with the creation of SriBrew. I don't know if Lon ever knew she had keys, or knew and didn't care, or what his story was, but she basically ended up with free reign lol.
Eh, that's all the exploits I feel like writing right now. Id have to go through my dead char list and think about it.

Re: Character Exploits
Waaaay back during my first account six years ago:
Lucas White - Led Seatown as a Protector (faithful to Farrah Slayer's leadership management) and founded the Navy of Seatown so that not only was Seatown safe on land (via the Protectors), but also by sea (via the Navy). Seatown usually had a healthy number of 30-40 people in town.
Troy Walker - Was a surviving DeDannan Prisoner of War during the TBR/K-Isle War. Eventually became an Elder of East Kol to live a more peaceful lifestyle.
Reid Waden - The first to incorporate the separate teachings of the Commune into the Sentinel leadership of Akypor. In exchange for years of labor (mostly iron, steel and aluminum production), contracted employees were paid in motorized vehicles. Built Akypor's first bus... just because.
Fetus - Master architect of a ridiculous and utterly useless grand hotel in Dom Hofran (population of probably 3, at the time). Plan was to make 100 rooms. I think he only got 20% of the way there. I'm pretty sure the main words in his vocabulary bank were: Fetus, Squat, and Stone.
Tristian Hart - I don't think this guy made it past five years of spawning, but he wouldn't have been able to live long anyway because of a terminal heart condition (hence the Celtic meaning of his first name and literal last name). Yet despite his short life, I'd like to think he wasn't just another grain of sand and succeeded in his mission to breathe new life in the soul of an otherwise dreary place.
