My experience back on Cantr

Postby thatsmartguy » Thu Jun 02, 2005 5:28 am

As some know, I abandoned Cantr a few months ago, half my chars killed by mindless sabre-weilders, spawning in anarchist new nations without even the slightest bit of food to give out to newspawns, ect. it was just dissapointing to see my characters whose goals I rolled over in my head get killed by some random raiders or simply fail in a crappy town. But I decided to return yesterday, signed up for a new account, and got started out with some new characters.

The result: 800 million percent better, I'm starting to make friends in some very developed cities (And some not so developed, but were at least under control), and my new characters got off to very good starts. They got jobs, one found an abandoned farming project (like 90% done, hadn't been worked on in days) and got 2 kilos of potatoes in the first hour. While another is a simple tradesman about to work for a wood collecting/trading corparation with hopes of owning his own company. It appears things have gotten better or my luck is improving, but these have been better times then for the much longer time I used to play.

My most successful first character had a job in a factory for the majority of his life, working on cars and chatting it up with the other workers. This was all fine and good, but the bad outwayed the positive back then, and it appears it won't happen this time :D

Funny, mine looted, murdered and pillaged for twenty years then settled down with a nice girl on the coast of Spain.

I mean...inherited an Old-World business the size of a small city and has lived comfortably for 30 years on legacy iron and steel?

I mean...owns two boats and sails the seas trading for the hell of it?
I'm not dead; I'm dormant.
