player description: he seems weak/strong

Postby muffinimal » Thu Apr 07, 2005 12:11 am

The player description is not very descriptive, is it?

He seems weak. She seems strong.

What the ... is that supposed to mean? Does it mean that they are looking kinda ill or very healthy. Or that they are bulking with muscles? Or is the description more helpful if you have been playing for quite a while? :?

Last I heard, it is now irrevalent. I think it previously had a meaning, but they hadn't gotten around to taking it out yet.
Just because you're older, smarter, stronger, more talented... doesn't mean you're BETTER.

Yes, it's legacy code. Below thread was answered by Jos:

So, no need for the poster to feel disheartened.

Thanks for the help all. I don't know how I had missed that post. I wonder what I used for my query.

Seeing people with a description of being strong made me wonder whether there was more to it... It's good to know it's not there to make me feel disheartened.

I still wonder about the ambiguity of weak and strong though. ;-)

Don't worry. I battled to find it myself--and I started it! :?

I do miss the smiley, normal & sad faces though...

It was a quick way to find out one of your chars was in trouble...
