ARE CURSES POSSIBLE IN CANTR?

While the food thing may have caused a number of young players to die at the same time, I believe players quitting is the cause of major characters dying. I also know of one instance of personal tragedy that resulted in the removal of characters.

I have noticed that the game has gotten very "quiet" lately. I thought it might just have been the Thanksgiving break, but it hasn't picked up much since. I have a character that went through a town where there were 12 people and not one of them was working on an activity. You almost have to assume that they belong to inactive players and will starve to death at some point.

Now for those of you who are still trying to catch up. All of these people died before the changes except for the last one, but even she fell asleep before the changes.

Which is mainly the reason I think it's a curse. There was no cause for it, it just happened all of a sudden, for 3 of them, with no warning.

That's exactly what I was thinking, had the 3 that you mentioned powerful characters died at the same moment? (unsubscription) I remember Siom Forest North losing 2 of its most important people as it was trying to build up a while back, which caused my poor (well really rich) character's death due to the power/security vacuum.

So what I was getting at is even if these powerful people had unsubscribed, but had breached the CR, it should be kept on file in case they rejoin, so they can be informed of what they shouldn't go about doing this time around.

This could be the case with the first two (Queen Noel and Chief) who just dropped dead at the same time, but the other two I serious doubt it.

:roll: Curses? Sorry, there are no real curses IRL or in Cantr, only people that make unfounded correlations between unassociated events.

First, let me say that neither Noel Gaius (excuse the spelling, names are not my forte) nor Breen were rulers of Seatown Garden, contrary to a few people's beliefs. They were queen / king of a nomadic group. Lucy and the other longtime citizens of Seatown Garden never considered them leaders. They were treated with respect, sure, but they had no real authority. Seatown Garden has never had any true ruler and it will stay that way, at least as long as Lucy has any voice in the matter. Recent events are nothing more than a coincidence. The person in question hasn't actually <i>died</i>, correct? (Don't answer that. ) People "fall asleep" all the time. Does Lucy need to go visit Seatown and prove the supposed curse wrong? If she had any inclination to go there, I would not worry. Are you sure you people in Seatown aren't in a plot to take over Seatown Garden, starting with the "leaders"? (j/k)

Well, this is all very confusing because everyone in Seatown were told that. Even the people who came over from the garden for their ceromony agreed. In the Queen's belongings there was a note that showed the order of the Garden Militia with her, King Breen, the Chief, Dragon Slayer then Relevart in that order. The leaders of the Militia in the Garden which puts them in higher authority. Anytime something was going on Relevart or Dragon Slayer where they only ones that would speak up on behalf of the Garden so it was only fair to assume them being in Leadership. By the way Relevart must have thought the same because she said if something was to happen to King Breen, Dragon Slayer would automatically become leader of Seatown Garden. So I don't know what is going on, but I do know that until further notice IC Dragon Slayer is the Leader of the Garden.

There is no way the person in question in seatown died of hunger. I personally made sure that that person had the same amount of food as my character did. Mine still has plenty of food left. Not to mention that I warned the her before we left the garden that this has happened to all our leaders in the same place to be carefull. So the only other reason IF she is dead *still hoping shes not* is that the player quit.

I have tried to explain that one myself. But it just seems to be what everyone is thinking. I got a note to deliever and it says I am the leader of the garden. Now I know he keeps falling into these things against his will but this time was a certain Seatown leader that said this. And its not ture at all. *screams* He just wanted to be a bounty hunter and live the life of fame and glory. Not lead anyone. But he feels like he has too and does what is best for everyone else.

Dragonslayer if you knew this why not say anything. You and Relevart are the only one's Seatown had communications with and now that she is gone it is not right to lead us on and have us think that all important information and events should go through just you. (Since you are all we think is left).

Futhermore, I think the change has affected alot of important people in Cantr. Jo Jo of Seatown Forest, for example. A peron none of my characters knew to ever sleep has now been sleeping for a while. Everything is just going crazy!! If one more person quits I will pull all my hair out!!

I assure you that Dragon Slayer is not the leader there, William Shire has even been there longer. He was there whenever everyone was locked up and attacked, and people came from Seatown Forest to free them, but by all accounts Lucy has always been the oldest person there and should be the one to lead if anyone should.

As far as I know he never once said that he is the leader of Seatown Garden itself.
