Cut n paste is ok for character referances only, it shouldn't be used as notes left for others to read !! The info needs to be put into your charries own words i.e. the diary, if it is going to be left on the ground for others to see. as for finished products, the charrie could say...... on 1008-2 I finished a carrot project that yeilded 476g carrots, I am going to pick them up now *smiles*

Sunni: I'd say that's a bit too far. Anywhere where I've seen in game, just saying that you finished farming/digging/whatever and picking it up is fine. I personally try not to use exct numbers IC anyway. Sometimes it's necessary in trading, but otherwise...

ADDITION:

Pirog wrote:...If someone would die and drop a complete cut/paste record of dozens of important happenings from years back it could alter the allready existing history of the region....

That would be fine if it was a note written from scratch rather than copied and pasted. And the effects, if someone has been lying, of an old personal diary being found, would be good for the game. More interest!

Anyone who keeps notes in game as pasted events is almost certainly not using them for IC reasons, but for OOC reference. And as they therefore should not be in the game at all, save some server power and bandwidth and KEEP THEM ON YOUR OWN COMPUTER!

That's what the player reports are for anyway. USE THEM. That's why they exist!

Yes, that is my point. That would leave room for an alternative "truth" without it being deliberately forged...but a copy/paste record is either completly true or a deliberate fraud.
