Oh my. And the whole design of the game is such that it should be possible to play it in, say, 10 minutes a day... People were complaining about the slow pace of the game, but that is exactly because it is written for people who have an active life next to Cantr as well and want to play, like myself.
Of course, if you have 15 characters and they are all the centre of their town, you spend hours and hours playing. But it is not true, I think, that that is the only way the game is fun. I would always advice people to take less characters and have some of them live somewhat less important life. We need the 'common citizens' too, you know...
It was also, as I mentioned often, basically the idea that people would spend much more time in their buildings, so that you would see the things happening that are related to your char and not everything else. But that hasn't worked out like that... Now it takes a lot of time just to be standing on a town square and see what's going on.
Personally, I play about 10 chars, I think, and only 2 of them have really active positions in their somewhat larger towns. Others are somewhat less active, have a really quiet existence in a small village, or are all the time travelling or sailling, so that nothing much happens all the time. I like the sailors - you can leave them for a long time just going, and so once in a while they arrive in a town and they become among the most interesting chars to play.
I should add, though, that although I am not really addicted to playing, I'm quite addicted to running Cantr... And spending much, much more than 10 minutes a day on that
...
Yeah, well I have no life. I don't have a job yet so all I have is Cantr and like tye introduction says it could take ten minutes to check your charries or if your hooked like me it could be almost like a full time job.

I don't get in fights with my S/O because he could be standing next to me yelling to get my attention and all I mumble is "Just one minute more... I've got to check so-and-so"
I don't stay up until 4am checking a character who has something really really really important going on and then only getting half an hour sleep before having to get up for work because I'm sooooo worried...
I don't try to stretch my last 5 minutes out so that I can check EVERY SINGLE charrie before running out of minutes...
I don't know exactly when time reset is so that I can jump online and check my charries...
Nope... Not me!
How could anyone love Cantr and not be addicted to it. With all do respect, You Suck!
