For what it's worth - I agree that any joint IC activity should be arranged IC on the Cantr timescale...

I'm always really suspicious of attacks by groups of people, or pairs...

On another note, how does Cantr time relate to RL time? I still havn't got my head around that one?

1 cantr year = 20 real days
1 cantr day = 1 real day
1 cantr hour = 3 real hours
1 cantr minute = 5 real minutes

there are 36 cantr minutes in a cantr hour, 8 cantr hours in a cantr day, 20 cantr days in a cantr year.

The cantr hours are in synch with the multiple-of-three hours in American EST, and at the moment the cantr day ends at midnight. But that changes when hours are missed due to bugs. Which means that anything scheduled in hours may end up shifting for semi-OOC reasons.

Don't be, it's extremly easy for experianced players who are active alot to plan things IC. If on the other hand you don't see any "trigger" such as conversation, boat docking, pointing, etc, then most likely it's a CRB.

I'd give a recent example, but it's just too soon.

Planning, planning, planning. If I were running an operation like that, I'd set ii up to not need a kickoff signal, if possible. Set a start time before you arrive...or a time-lag between the signal and the attack...all sorts of things, really.

the only problum with the CRB you guys are talking about is... PROOF that the 2 players are talking ooc via i.m. about their future attacks.

Let me think how to explain this, my point of view is very hard to explain because well... im called psycho pixie for a reason.

2 charrys on a boat floating outside drojf say to eachother in game what they plan to do when they dock. how is it a provable crb, or really a crb at all for that matter if one player tells the other player via i.m. that the boat finished docking so its time to boogie down and kill stuffs?

2 charrys that know eachother, but one is on the boat and one is in Drojf. the boat docks, and the charry on the boat attacks, then the charry in town attacks and then hops on the boat to sail off. the 2 charrys never spoke a word to eachother. that would be a crb in the eyes of many players right?

but what if the players have logs from those 2 charrys talking to echother in another town about a future attack of drojf? not a crb then right? because one charry went to drojf and scoped the place out, stayed there and gathered resources until the pirate boat arrived. not a crb.

its all so damn confusing.
Here I am. BITE ME. or not, in fact, never mind, dont want some wacko taking me up on the offer. Only non wacko's may apply for bite allowance.. no garentee that you will be granted said allowance, but you can try.

You're probably right... It just seemed weird to me when I've seen it in the past - a few people turn up in town or get off a boat and start massacaring the town wihtout any words between each other...

But then again, I've never tried playing a pirate/bandit... Well, not until a few days ago...

(when I also realised that no one knows you by any other name than what you give them... - I'm so slow sometimes  )

In cases such as you're mentioning, it's perfectly feasible for them to say to each other before hand, "Okay, when we reach xxxxxxx, we attack."

Indeed, especially if they're more experienced at it, it's almost a given.
Long journeys are boring...why not use them to plan your next exploits?
