Where the hell is my character?

Postby EddyEdworthy » Wed Oct 13, 2004 7:57 pm

:?: I'm totally baffled, i had a character spawn in a place with a very bizarre name, one that I can't remember, and there were like 4 people there. Then she left and evry town she has gone to hs been empty, save 1 or 2 corpses. The places have names like "Aki Lornia Sturn" etc. And I was just wondering where exactly these towns are, because this is ruining the Cantr experience for this character.

Every day with her is the same:
-Finished travelling
-Look around
-No people
-A few corpses
-Nothing on ground spare a few notes scattered around
-Continue on way

Meanwhile i'm yelling at my PC "Where the hell is my character going!?!?!?"

All I'll say is that there is alot more to the island then you've seen so far, but the experiances of that char as the same as for many on that island, those who survived the animals at least.

It can happen on other islands too, Blerk area and the mountains around it in the old island are quite empty so the couple of my characters that spawned in that corner of the world didn't meet anything but sleepers and corpses for years. Good thing you can start with several characters since I might have quitted when having to stand that loneliness with my first character (Maline).

Funniest thing is that it really shapes the persona of a character. Maline has trouble understanding people or making friends, and Lewis drools after every girl because he didn't see much of them when he was young..

I read this and laughed so hard because it soo true.... real people who dont get enough people experience tend to be exactly like that.

or they turn into cerial killers who think all humanhs are supposed to be dead... :)

My char in that area is 35 and has met maybe a dozen people in his life.

My one character in that area (aged 36 I believe, quite possibly the oldest on the island) died a few days ago...

The animals got him in the end...

I landed on a completely desolate land and I thought it would be a good chance to start a settlement but then my boat got stolen and some barmy Russian bloke killed me on a path.
