How does everyone know who other people's characters are?
I mean everyone on here is always like, "omg I love all of you're characters!" And I'm like... How do you know who their characters are? It makes no sense!

You can ask who plays a certain character on the 'characters you'd like to know who their players are' thread. If that player wants you to know they play that character they'll answer, either in the thread or by private message. Just don't ask other players who plays that character, and don't tell other players who it is if you already know.

When you play more and more of Cantr. You notice some certain similarities between characters!
Some little meaningless things that might give a hint to you about the player.
If you suspect this character is X's. Ask him/her at PM if you are interested to know it.

This is pretty much what Rugila said, but a lot of characters have certain quirks that are common among other characters. It might be a certain piece of slang that they all use, or it may even be a common emote. I remember that someone guessed that a character was mine because I always used "yaknow" in my characters' dialogue. Whoops :p

The times chars wake up and go to sleep can be quite a giveaway, too.

Re: How does everyone know who other people's characters are
When people have figured out my chars in the past, or vice versa, it's usually due to certain verbal tics or tendencies that will out themselves even when playing chars of quite different personality, activeness, even intelligence or accent... hard to describe. I try to be unique with every character as much as possible but with a lot of dialogue and time, and not enough time to spend always on each and every spoken comment, I may repeat facial expressions and such that others just wouldn't use or would use only rarely.
I notice the same in others sometimes, usually the better role players actually and perhaps counter-intuitively. And yes, I think I just complimented myself. I am also quite a snappy dresser IRL. And I breed prize winning clams.

As far as knowing who plays what characters I have very little idea, but I do enjoy trying to figurure out for my own amusement if a player has a character in one city if he plays one in another city. E.G. Character X in Drofj and character Y in Blerk Hills. Sometimes its easy if they pull a stunt like I did a bit ago and introduce yourself as the wrong character...lol

I seem to be very good at guessing half the time. When I care enough to try to guess. O_O
I've figured out quite a few characters that way.

Since I took a big break and managed to survive my account just with few deaths I remember just players of some old characters and it is not likely to change for now.
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
