Too many characters on one island?
I was wondering if people set a personal limit of how many characters they have on the same Island. I believe I have Eight characters on the same Island right now although a large one. I'm torn because I don't want them to end up in the same place, but by doing so I feel I am bordering on a CRB because I am literally using out of game knowledge to direct characters away from each other. This was worsened when I had a character spawn and leave town (which I hate doing, but in fairness he was greeted rudely and I do think he felt stifled by the laws) Unfortunately after he travelled one click. I decided to make a new character and he spawned in the same town not fifteen minutes after the first. Just wondering what you all do in such a situation. Kill a couple off? I'm not a big fan of just sitting and starving but it doesnt interfere with the game play of others. Thanks.

My characters are fairly spread out but 8 on one island sounds like a lot. There should be some sort of limit to prevent people from spawning too many on the same island.

I've had 3 chars spawn in the same location, and then another 3 on a specific island with just 5 towns. It sucks, especially when it happens so fast after the last one... My general solution is finding a reason to move them out, there usually is some. Starting a fight that potentially gets the char killed is always better than just letting it sleep away its life, too, imo.

Wouldn't that need to be optional, some people may enjoy one island in particular.

Some smaller language groups probably only live on one island...
I think ...

I don't think it's a good idea that someone has more than three characters in a small language group, at least Finnish.

Are there no pure finnish players? Is the population so small it would lead to a crb easily once over 3 charries? Just asking outof curiosity, Im a pure english player so I never have experienced another language group, small or otherwise.

By pure, do you mean someone who only plays in that language group? There is or was at least one. But if there are only a few communities and most of them stem from two roots, you're going to run into the same people and goals, unless you go to the wilderness which might be unlivable if you're not strong enough. That's why I wrote the survival guide, because somebody had a bunch of characters get torn apart by animals and didn't know you should name towns you travel through.

Indeed, I did mean only finnish. Thanks for the insight, I know cantr has sizable nonenglish population but its hard to understand the logistics of it when you can only use english.

Basically Finnish region has 3 spawning locations... and from these two are near each other... And the last one is like over year away. One area doesn't even have map (Someone probably took it without copying.. ) so you basically must just randomly take place and hope its right. Seko's guide is awesome... but it doesn't solve one major problem: the sheer number of animals... I mean one area has soon 150 animals (including bears) and even with chitin shield you will get killed by the sheer mass. If you want to be pioneer and make new town... village or whatever, its just not possible alone and those that live aren't so interested joining you..so you are all alone in wilderness middle of nowhere. And yea its not fun to get killed by scarabs (Makes me wonder is cantr scarabs like 2 meters high or irl size... )
I don't know about english areas cause I have recenctly tried it but its just not as fun as playing with your own language (Much easier to rp and talk with people).. Though these areas have roads for cars unlike finnish region... That has something like stone roads only in max.

Maps exist but they aren't always available.
