Boats...

Postby Sanglant » Sat Sep 04, 2004 3:10 am

Ok, I'm on a boat and I'm trying to figure out the whole direction thing. If someone could explain this to me I'd appreciate it.

North (0 degrees) is right on the little maps. Direction is in degrees clockwise from north.
Some people have said this at more length...maybe in the general support forum?

Your location map is always rotated 90 degrees clockwise. So, instead of North being Up, North is actually Right, as Industriallist stated.

So, since North (Direction 0 and 360) is Right, East (Direction 90) is Down, South (Direction 180) is Left, and West (Direction 270) is Up.

The speed of your boat is the same for walking, you can choose to go 0% speed (Stop) or go 100% speed (Maximum) - Or any other value, between these two numbers.

By entering an amount of turns, you'll go this many turns in the direction specified. Putting in 0 turns will have the boat continue to move until you hit a coast, meaning, you will move indefinately.
