Pending 'Holiday' season..?
I use the word 'holiday' loosely, as I appreciate that not everyone celebrates the forthcoming Christian holiday... or even gets much of a break from work... etc...
Alas... I do buy into the 'season', as do my entire fmily (some of which will come over soon to stay... probably forever) and it dramatically reduces the amount of time I can play Cantr.
I was just wondering if anyone else finds themselves in the same position?

I know I shall have more time to play, but less inclination to play, as I will be busy with friends and family a lot during my week or so off work.

Re: Pending 'Holiday' season..?
I won't be playing any more or less than what I've been doing lately... that already is a lot less than I used to.
There will be some days off, though.

Starting tomorrow, I won't be able to play until a week into January. Mostly because I'll be working at the World Junior Hockey Championship starting up on the 26th. (which you should all tune into because it's awesome :p)

All it means for me is no school/exams/papers, meaning lots of time. Except I have to devote a lot of that time to work on a portfolio and learn 3D modelling.
Hopefully I can get a few characters out of the ruts they're in right now, though.

I'm actually coming up on a period where I'll have a lot more time for Cantr, now that classes and especially finals aren't demanding all of my time.

I'm not concerned about my 7 day on, 7 day off work schedule, or the spending time with family and such... I'm mostly concerned that Star Wars: The Old Republic releases in a few days...

I'll have a week or two where all my attention could be devoted to Cantr if I wished, but I probably won't need all of it.

No school = more time for Cantr
Recent lack of interest in Cantr = using said time more productively (or not...)
Using time productively = sense of accomplishment and unwillingness to revert to the way things used to be

I had believed I would have a break over christmas break. Heh, I was wrong. I've got soo much stuff to do, I can barely get on here now.

This. I'm sorry guys, but I've been waiting for this game for twice as long as my current set of characters have been alive, in other words, since Summer 2009. But I'm going to try to wake all of my characters up at least every other day until I get through the initial buzz of TOR. Not to mention, I will be doing a little more with family and friends for the holidays.

I really do need to be on here less than I am right now, to get ready for said holidays. I shall soon be in panic mode, with tons more shopping and baking and wrapping and cleaning and decorating to do. Oh gods! Only a week left? And family staying here for over a week. So yeah, I'll have lots less time, but will do all I can to get on once or twice a day at least. (most days, not all)

I'm spotting a few chars getting sleepy, so am less worried, and it makes my own look less obvious in game.
As for panic mode... Yeah... am all set to go into panic mode, especially as our kitchen is only doe to be completed this Tuesday coming.
I swore blind last year when the builders left on the 23rd Dec, that I wouldn't do this again... but here I am. Add family to that.... being put all the time, over-eating when am not out, and generally drinking too much... my participation in Cantr will be sparse.

Re: Pending 'Holiday' season..?
Small decrease for me as our household gets doubled in size for about 2 weeks. I will just be 'rude' and close the door to my office I guess (yep, its the inlaws!) and get on and stay on as much as possible. As long as nobody is reading over my shoulder (annoying as...someplace bad), I should be able to stay IC. But for alot of people, I think it will be tough. Christmas is that time of year; suicides rise, depression worsens. But it is also happiest for some. I guess its all a matter of the perspective you choose. Hopefully there will be no major cantr-world shaping events.
Merry Christmas!

Re: Pending 'Holiday' season..?
The time of year doesn't affect me at all. I still work the same amount of time. Being in a play, however, means rehearsal times kill most of my evenings. Things at work, on the other hand, are a bit slow with current projects, so more cantr time, yeah.
