Memorial

Postby oddedd » Sun Apr 10, 2011 7:07 am

So I've noticed a little thing I do and wondered if it was me being weird or if anyone else does it or something similar.

Does anyone else leave he death notification of their favorite players up, as a kind of memorial?

Oh yes. They seem to get deleted after a while, don't know if this was a one-time thing or intentional though.

I would be surprised if they actually got deleted, I've seen so many in the database.

I mourned one or two when I culled my character list ages ago. Ended up just leaving the message there for ages until I finally removed it.

Not that odd, especially if it was an older character or one that just had a really good life.

It never occurred to me to do this.

I've left them for up to a year previously.

I still have on my main page the email Jos sent me in 2003 to warn me against breaching the CR, as a constant reminder to abide by the CR. :)

I have none to leave up. :)
Hooray for never having had a character die! (So far.)
Ask certain people: I've plans to kill off at least one of mine, and if it goes as well as I'd like it, it should be epic.

My first character died on my second day. Gored three times by a boar... poor guy never stood a chance. :?

I usually don't, because it usually makes me sad if it was a character I really liked. Especially if it was a terrible death. I have known of others that do though. I do keep all the death notice emails I get though.

I have kept other messages around for a bit of time, but eventually I remove them because I hate scrolling down to get to my living characters.
