Knowledge of project initiators
Is it OOC for characters to see the information each project contains about its initiator?
One of my characters is building something, and someone else, who is not the project initiator (the initiator isn't there) is claiming that it belongs to them. Can I use the fact that they didn't start it as evidence?
Not that I expect evidence would help in this case, but as a matter of principle...

I concur. I just would say, "I saw that you didn't start the project." Personally, I think that characters see almost anything that I do playing. Like the people around, and the projects they know how to make were taught to them many years ago during childhood.
I don't usually play it like that all the time though, especially the projects part, because people like being impractical technical pricks.
To put it nicely of course.

But the project (and the other character) date from before my character spawned. So it's a pure question of whether my char can see that the project initiator is gone. I can't say "I would have seen who started the project, but I don't remember, and the information counts as my memory."

*sighs* Alright, I'm here. It is never considered good rp to refer directly to the lists as lists, or the information there as being written for the characters to see. I agree, it should be rp'd as Nitefyre put it, "I can see you didn't start it.", and perhaps an "I don't see your name on it" would be fine as well, without saying technically that his name is not attached to the project on the activitie's list. There really is no "activities list" in the characters mind, in my opinion.
Okay, Thomas has said this much better somewhere else. But I don't have time to search for it. Perhaps someone else might like to.
