Cantr Poetry (sort of)

Postby The Industriallist » Mon Jun 14, 2004 4:14 am

I did this for a class asignment, but I figured I might as well share it here as well. Don't hesidate to tell me how bad it is  I probably agree with you.

It is, so far as I can tell, a genuine sonnet, even if the meter may be off.

Cantr II is in truth the only web-based game
I have ever found was worth the time to play,
the only RPG worthy of the name.
But when asked what it is I only say:
Go to the site, and read the intro page.
Most people will not even do so much.
’Too many words’ they say, to drive me to a rage;
I have no time or interest for such.
The few who go on to make an account
soon find there are no graphics; ‘This is lame’
If pictures make the game Cantr does not count.
But hundreds of us play it all the same.
Because with no graphics, no 3D, no leveling scheme,
we find real role-play more than just a dream.

Take my opinion for what ever you find it worth  But I have written over 400 songs, non published yet, I haven't tried.
I found your work very good. You made your point, and I can really tell how much you like the game.

I'd really like to see more stuff like that, perhaps I could get the inspreation I need to write a Cantr Theme song  or something like that.

Just so I'm clear, I'm saying that you did a great job,

I don't think any more poetry, Cantr-related or otherwise, is likely to come from me. Maybe someone else could take up the task.

If you ever write a cantr theme song I want to see it :D

I hereby declare the above work to be freely available for any purpose that would benefit cantr.
Good luck finding a use for it.
