Clothes to suit a Job/Role
Hi all.. thought I'd start a discussion/suggestion topic for people who'd like to make their characters fit their role/job..
I'll start this off.
I want to make a Mafia-like character soon, one character is in a position to abuse people just like the Mafia could (ie a lack of laws).
It's a male, what Cantr-clothes would you suggest? I tried searching Trenchcoat and Trench Coat in the wiki but doesn't seem like one exists.. any other ideas for clothes?

Re: Clothes to suit a Job/Role
I would recommend brimmed leather hat and formal wool vest. I guess the longcoats and greatcoat are the closest thing to a trenchcoat Cantr has to offer.
My character has sometimes worn a leather apron while smithing, although there ought to be leather gauntlets as well. They were discussed in the past but it was a padded version and I guess we couldn't agree on whether it should use wool or cotton fibres for padding.
It always warms my heart to see characters wearing aprons in the game since it was my idea to implement them in the first place.

Cantr needs a fedora.
edit: a pork pie hat would be cool, too.

I would love to see more clothing types in Cantr.
There is no rule that says I can't post as much I want. I asked my lawyer.

There are well ofer 200 different kinds of clothes in the game already. I would prefer other stuff before more clothes.

Of course I would also like to see certain things implemented before more clothing.

A basic visual display of the character would be nice. I get the feeling players are drifting away from 'classical roleplay'.. ie, the idea that everything should be imagined.

It would be nice to have more clothing in the game thats especially used by a char doing a certain job.

I used to wish for it, too, but now, when we have descriptions and nice and tidy list of clothing I'm rather against the idea.
A basic display would either stay on the most basic level, which would (now)_make it completely useless, or get in details, but there are just to many possible details and modifications. And allowing user-made visual display would make a visual side of Cantr rather untidy.
