I see "adding more simulation" as adding more game mechanics in order to flush out the world and prevent a lot of already player awkward situations. The more game mechanics to "explain away" some Cantr behavior (or alter it) the better!

Yep, like on a basic level, I saw one character Role-Playing drunkedness.. sorta awkward at first (like you said) but then you sorta shrug in real life and go along with it.

Drunkenness, highness (being high? Whatever.), climbing, digging (other than for resources), swimming (especially off the side of a ship in the middle of the fish-less ocean), running, jumping.... sitting other than resting.
