I agree with a previous post about Shanti HOWEVER he's too peaceful. He's so peaceful it's irritating.

Shanti's laws imply violence if someone tries to "organize" in his town. Hardly peaceful. His temperament is a symptom of brain damage, not of philosophy. Really the most annoying character that I've met in a while, but then again, there are very few things that I dislike more than hippies, so I'm biased.

Hey man, I think your dislike of hippies is coloring your interpretation! Shanti endorses no violence, implied or otherwise, and I don't think he ever has. The only thing he's ever done to people trying to "organize" there has been to be generous with them.

Oh, make me cry why don't you. Yes, Taowyn and Silly of Drojf were both peaceful and wonderful. I loved Taowyn's backstory (even though yes I realize 99.99999% of people don't like backstories....his was truly awesome!!!!)
