# of players and charcters
What is the approximate number of active players and characters?

Not necessarily... this could also be due to more / less people signing up than before, more / less people creating more characters than before, more / less characters being killed than before Or did I get you wrong?

Exactly
... And it's why I said *very rough*
...
In addition, though, this percentage is always somewhere between 22 and 26 percent and really quite stable. So I do think it says something about how many people sign up that do not really stay on as players
... Well, to be sure, it doesn't *say* how many, but it shows it's a substantial number
... One could actually quite easily make a sort of guess as to how to interpret this, but that requires some math that I don't have the time for now
... But if you want to think about ... hmmm ...
Say, S players sign up on a day, of those, a proportion p keeps playing; we have a total of P players; new signups can only start up to 2 characters; the max in total is 15.... etc. etc. - you should be able to make some guess about what the 'normal' percentage of 20 year-olds should be without people signing up and disappearing immediately, and then the rest should be those that disappear
...
I would actually say this must be over 20 percent
...
Ah well, you would have to make a lot of guess, e.g. to the average number of characters per player, etc. I can find a few more statistics, perhaps
