Questions about Skill

Postby Vazalco » Sun Aug 10, 2008 12:29 pm

The character status page at the bottom indicates that my farming skill is at the "skillfully" level.

However, I'm currently gathering grapes and at the top it says that I'm "expertly working on project." When I switch to, say, farming for potatoes, it goes back to saying "skillfully working."

Why does it say something different when I'm gathering grapes?

When gathering grapes you don't use the skill 'farming' but the skill 'foresting'.

If you want to see what skill is used for which resource, look in the wiki pages.

A few crops that grow on trees like grapes use the "foresting" skill instead of the "farming" skill to gather.

And then some of the food you don't use farming or forestry, some it take collecting.
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.
As you can see, the Jedi are hypocrites.

D'oh. I could have sworn it said farming... That's neat.

It did say farming. The verb associated with the action doesn't necessarily indicate the skill.

I was pretty confused about that too, thanks!
