I suppose that's understandable. I, for one, enjoy the challenge, the struggle, and the long-range planning aspect to the game. I find the thrill is gone when my characters can easily accomplish everything they set out to do within half a Cantr year's time.
I like the idea of motorized vehicles becoming a luxury item. I have to say, one of the best areas to play is the Naron landmass, as primary resources for luxury items are spread out nicely, requiring a great deal of travel. The characters on that land have a longer development path than the Treefeather lands as a result, making for more interesting play, IMHO.
