Cool. I like to see those "little things" things as well. Helps flesh out other chars and gives people something to talk about. Not that my chars are overly talkative

Getting warned about avatar infringement Priceless

Changed to avert an avatar war...There are only so many cool ones.

It was Kronos, and he's still around (more often in IRC), even if he doesn't post. I'm not sure he still uses that one or not.

It never ends...over and over and over!
The poor baby!

I kept watching it to try to figure out why the baby fell over.

Why do you all insist on having moving avatars and signatures anyhow? I find them incredibly distracting and annoying both. If I wanted to see stupid shit I'd go to Youtube and look for it.
I hate people.

Talk about grumpy eh.
If I wanted to read people's bitching and complaining, I'd check out the Rant of the Day thread. There you go.

Then again, I'm a Canadian, and bitching and complaining is our third favorite national activity outside polar bear rodeo and beer hockey.

I'm sorry you feel that way Missy, but I like mine and any other clever one whether moving or not. Can't please everyone...

*ahem* To get the thread back on track...

DylPickle wrote:I've been having a lot of fun RPing little sort of "passovers" lately, especially when it goes beyond the capacity of game mechanics. One character is constantly trimming his facial hair, Another likes to tune up his car, and one likes to take in their environment as much as they can, trying to factor in the difference between where the buildings might be congregated, and where the different locations of resources might be.

That's pretty neat.

No offense to those who play them, but I've never been a fan of those 'gimmicky' characters. We all know what I'm talking about; those characters who speak like they're retarded, or speak in third person, but seem to often have no depth other than that.

I much prefer those less gimmicky, but very in-depth and detailed characters, and so I appreciate it when people like Dyl give their characters little personality quirks; they might seem small and insignificant, but they still add another layer to your character's personality, and greatly appreciated by me. We've all got habits and personality quirks IRL, and so should our characters. It doesn't have to be glaringly obvious quirks; perhaps your character secretly hates people with certain names and avoids them, for example. In fact, those little quirks are often more appreciated by me (as long as they're RPed consistently); though I wouldn't mind if someone played, let's say, a schizophrenic character, as long as they did it realistically and the character didn't turn into comic relief. Mental illness is never a laughing matter in real life.
