Oddly enough I never saw Tircqi as a cold place even though it should be the coldest on the island if there's any logic. I experienced Blaman mountains and Sjoftich being much colder than Tircqi even though it seems Tircqi should logically be colder.
Brunoi and Quillanoi regions are clearly cooler than Reniov region etc. I would imagine Quillanoi forest growing deciduous trees like rowan, alder and ash while Reniov forest is more tropical.

Krif and Drojf are between a lake and the ocean. There's sand, but stone too, and the animals definitely aren't tropical. They're also near the rocky MacGregor hills.
I like to think of the land around Drojf as similar to Galway Bay, on the west coast of Ireland.
I did my study abroad semester there. God, I miss it!

hmmm i don't have a place to put the photo online but if you can get a view of winnipeg facing downtown standing about half way out to the perimeter but on a roof of say an 11 storey building on pembina highway, it images reminiscent of brunoi and surrounding forests, downtown winnipeg being brunoi, and the forest villages hidden by the great canopy of trees much like most of winnipeg is.

It's been a year and a half IRL since I had a charrie in Karnon Forest, which of course should rightfully be called Blackrock Forest. But I can still picture it clear as day.
I never had a sense of its climate or comarability to real life locales, except that it was mostly sunny.
However:
If you are standing in Blackrock Forest, facing the road to Karnon, then the Forge, the Blacksmith, and Nick's and Erin's dwellings are on your left. The cooking house is in front of you on your right, and Jorge and Alhana's place is behind you on your right, with a smoker right in front of it. The Temple is just off-center of the town and closer to you on your left, set apart from the other buildings slightly. The roads to Karnon Beach and Kirinn Fields "T" off in front of you where the Karnon road ends, to the right and left, respectively. The prison sits right where the Karnon road empties into town, at the junction with the road to Kirinn Fields, as if to serve as a warning to those arriving from other places. Bicycles were parked next to it for ease of access and to keep them out of the way.
The forest is old-growth, lots of oak, maple, and beech. Paradoxically, the forest floor is dirt and pine needles, sweet smelling, which mingles with the sharp metallic tang of the metalworks and the meaty, smoky smell of the smokers and grills. The density of the woods is not choked or overgrown, but rather consists of many tall trees that rustle in the breeze and cause sunlight to dapple the ground. Just outside the immediate perimeter of the town, low-growing ferns grow to a height of half a meter and stretch as far as the eye can see. Herds of deer roam these ferns, munching contentedly. Rabbits hide nervously beneath them. Hawks frequent the branches of nearby trees, scanning the ground cover for signs of movement.
People were fond of climbing the trees and poking the rabbits. Erin tended to make her speeches from the right side of town, beneath a large oak and in front of another building I can't remember the name or purpose of. That oak was a favorite climbing spot, very old and gnarled, and also served as the backdrop for formal ceremonies such as Jorge and Alhana's wedding. Nick, on the other hand, always spoke publicly over on the left, nearer the temple but not intimately close to it.
The road to Karnon rapidly led into thinner woods (think stands of birch saplings) and rocky terrain, soon enclosed by boulders on either side. This made it difficult to see forward as you were heading to Karnon, and could interfere with identifying people who were coming toward you in the opposite direction. On the other side of town, the forest sloped rapidly away, ending abruptly in some cliffs overlooking the sea. By an unspoken agreement, no one went that direction because it was dangerous and wild country, and it was easy to take a false step and plunge onto the ocean rocks below. On quiet days when the breeze blew right you could smell the salt and seaweed aroma of the ocean, mixing in with the rest. I like to think that those were the times that people were moved to dance.
