Free RPG game search engine. I played a few other ones off the same list, but they all sucked.

Go Cantr!!

Bali is still there, so he must.

I found Cantr though a sig link RKLenseth had on the Firefly Fan Forum, and have been playing ever since. Just lost my first character though.

Wow! First charrie? That's incredible, seriously. I lost mine a long, long time ago, but he was just some stupid thief. I didn't know anything back then.

The first charrie I lost who I really liked was a long time ago now...

I learnt about it from a post at somethingawful.com... some guy was describing his ideal MMORPG, and a few people commented that it sounded a lot like Cantr II. So I thought I'd check it out.

When I first started I could see why it was interesting, but I wasn't sure if I would really be compelled to keep playing. But I seem to be getting more and more sucked in... I've been trying to keep myself to a handful of characters so that I can play them properly; I broke down and started my fourth one today.

I have only ten nowadays and life is boring as well. Maybe if you have 15 or close to that then you have more of a chance of being somewhere where stuff happens. Or maybe I've just lost my motivation. It would be cool to see that post you were referring to, to see what the person would have wanted that is not available in Cantr.

I saw a rerun of the Simpsons tonight. The one where Marge gets hooked on the Earthland Realms rpg and Bart is the master villian on the game and remembered the fun I used to have play advanced dungeons and dragons and other stuff on MUDS. Over the next few days I googled for a rpg with a lot of freedom to it. Once I saw the line that said if you like to leave a trail of bodies behind you this game may not be for you. I was hooked, now with 15 charries and all fairly active. :)

Back to topic, and despite I believe there was a thread like this already, I learned about Cantr via http://www.rpggateway.com.
