I heard something about a tutorial in the works. But even just a few lines of advice at spawning might help.

1961-0: You can see 21 projects or activities of which 9 are being worked on

Yeah that is real cool :)

As for keeping the game alive, I think Elros has the right idea. Active players who check their accounts often simply need to try to keep their Chars alive and just -doing- something. Even if it's doing nothing, you can still show it, in a way ;)
