People in Cantr sure don't get tired often...but I really don't think you want to change that...

Maybe if we had some kind of mechanisation so advancing was a benefit instead of reacting "Oh my, they have reached the stage of having vehicles... lets make sure that doesn't happen again"...

Do you think Cantr hasn't been evolving like it should? After 1800 days, well I've seen a lot of improvement. Atleast its going by a lot faster than real life does in 90 years. Other than the last 90 years...so, where's all those 110 year old Characters? :D

Just to name three things I have built that have just gathered dust.
How about these three items well worth the investment:

Wooden saw carriage with a steel blade
Set of hoists and pulleys
and Apothecary table

I've never used my Mudhole, but atleast it has a purpose.

Back in the days when you had to build everything to find out what it did (before the wiki) of course.

I remember everyone furiously trying to find out what you could "pick" a lock with.

The hoists and pullies are comming... and apothecary tables will in the future become more useful as herb gardens become more common place and people figure out what exactly the mixtures do.
And Surly, I'm sure you're still irritated about the whole vehicle fuels thing going live, but there are up sides to it. When everything's said and done, cars will become more common, not less. Just take me on that until you see it, huh?

Come on Hermi, a little faith... We really do concider the fact that it is a game. It's there, but the bad was announced long before the good to give you all time to deal with it, so the hype looks bad.

Nakranoth, please don't treat me like an idiot. Nothing pisses me off as much as people treating me like an idiot.

If any of what I said was overreacting, I apologise. But I've been right so often now, kinda hard not to have faith in myself rather than a RD with a less than stellar record.

And just for the record... its not like I have a choice but to see it from your point of view, is it? After all, its all but implemented now despite me protesting it every inch of the way (look in the RD forums to read my complaints).

I'm sorry, but I have heard that before.
But at least before a member of staff has backed up an argument like that, whether I've agreed or not. Rather than being patronising and dismissive.
Just how do you propose making cars harder will increase their production?

The fuel will make a change. It may be beneficial to cooperative RP. But I do not think it will improve trade, and I think it is likely to make inter-location relations harder.

And, like Surly, my gut instincts have been right on enough occasions not to ignore them because I'm told it'll all be ok.

That's not to say I'm not continually impressed by the brilliant ideas and developments that have occured.

But I just have this horrible feeling that, like repairs and bronze, once this change has been shown not to produce the desired effects, nothing will change anyway. Unfortuantely, repairs and bronze can be dealt with, this may be too big a change to just ignore if it doesn't work out.

The age of alcohol has begun.

There's a possibility of certain mountain towns becoming more populated. People would have to travel to get to towns with fuel.
