We don't have a building up yet. French world has lots of unexplored places.

Just love that rare day, once every 10 years that the animals don't attack. Or will you be the unlucky one when the turkeys kill you. TURKEYS.

Besides the...

Lions,
Cheetahs,
Bears,
Wild Boars,
Gorillas (Not as much, I think we are at peace)
Many more.

Just gotta love it when..

2166-7:01 Newspawn Says: Hey I am a newspawn!
2166-7:01 Newspawn Says: Can I have some food, and where am I?
2166-7:01 You give newspawn 10,000 grams of meat.
2166-7:02 You see a lion attack Newspawn.
2166-7:02 You see a lion attack Newspawn.
2166-7:02 Dam you lion! I hate you, that really hurt.
2166-7:02 You see a lion kill Newspawn.
2166-7:03 You see lion Say to Other lions : Owned!

I have seen something interesting...

I have a character who is preaching the presence of a god, saying that in the god's wrath, he sends animals to attack. the interesting thing is that whenever someone insults this god or denies his existance, they're attacked by a wild boar, or another person is attacked (the same person 3 times now). Of course, I was attacked by a moose once for 5%, but I saved for 14 with my shield so It didnt really matter that much.

and Burgeo aint THAT bad. I got mauled on my first day after spawn, but haven't been attacked since.

The joys of randomizing are such that with a little imagination a religion can be based on it! Randomization creates a lifelike virtual reality.
However Burgeo is worse than you think, my char who's living inside most of the time is attacked about once a year.
Problems are varied, other spawns won't hunt even when told to, somehow that doesn't help! Out of 10 newspawns i know less than 1 reaches 30 on the island. They don't talk about it but consider the location the problem, so they leave and later i find their remains in the next village. They give up too easily, instead of realizing their mistake and turn back in shame they'd rather die.
When animalattacks are generated they are always directed at chars, this works fine unless a location has only 1 or 2 chars. When there are 4 the chance of a particular one getting mauled is 25%, then 33%, 50, 100 that's too much.
A typical problem for primitives is that weapons are bone- or woodclass at best, for instance elephants can't be hurt. Here's a typical view of wildlife on Burgeo today.
1 wolfs
16 rabbits
18 horses
11 hawks
37 wild boars
64 bears
8 turkeys
15 gorillas
3 pigeons
43 rhinos
29 lions
59 elephants
Total 304, i'll do some hunting later :)

You mean there are places that protect predators? Are you kidding? Kill them all!

Here's my list from Burgeo:

9 rabbits
12 horses
8 hawks
25 wild boars
58 bears
8 turkeys
13 gorillas
1 pigeons
43 rhinos
24 lions
63 elephants

264 in all, and of course I guess the rabbits and pigeon wouldn't really count. Not quite as bad as where Frits is, but then again there are usually only about three people outside at a time, so if you're one of them you'll probably get attacked every day, sometimes two or three times a day. Cooking eggs and gathering healing food is pretty much a full time job.

I'm not complaining though, it's actually a lot of fun to have a couple of chars in the 'frontier'. Everywhere else is so tame and safe it gets boring sometimes...no one ever has to work together and people aren't attached to their communities, all they care about is going off and foing there own thing. And at least in Burgeo and Aki if other chars aren't causing any excitement the animals will. :)

I dunno what island it was, but i had a char in a place called Lyonwulf a while ago, and that was pretty bad.
But it's a heavenly fairyland compared to the French island.
There should be a reward system to any French player who can get a char past 30. Because if you have anything to do outside (such as farm for food), or there are no buildings, then you'll be dead within a couple of days.

That wolf is new! And he'll be dead meat in four days unless the elephants get organized.
That list of Marian's shows exactly the same animals, tomorrow my location could look like that. Animals come and go in numbers by the day.

Yes, there are such places... I know at least one place where it´s forbidden to hunt wolfs and lions. Lukily, when my character was there, there were neither lions nor wolfs...

Ahh, good old Burgeo.

My character Ellarv Lystro escaped there with an arm and leg missing. He was on 97% damage when he escaped in his ship.

Simply put: he's coming back with a vengeance. He now has 0% damage, 15,000 grams of onions, supplies, tools, and a 4-person crew ready to do some god damn damage to the cursed animals which nearly tore his life from him.
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."
