Well we might as well, that's all that seems to happen in these forums now-a-days

Somebody needs to vote 'No' now so they'll be even again.

I voted No. :P
Because if you can't have a talk about something to do with the game amongst ourselves sometimes heatedly, regardless of wether it changes things or not in game it's not really a forum.

Plus i moaned about the roads. And i had good reason because i worked my chars hard to be able to achieve building cars, that with the proposed changes would have turned all their hard work into a heap of useless metal. So i think that warrents enough to have a say if a change midway was a good or bad idea. Remember the programmers don't really have to listen to us on our views on the game itself, they do all the hard work to allow us to play and enjoy it. So i appreciate the fact they do take the time to listen at all.

I don't post here often even though i've been here quite a while now, only when feeling brave whilst ducking behind my chair with my crash helmet on. I was also forced to go to sunday school till age 11 but i don't have a religion now if that helps the sad religious flamers. But seeing as taunting faith and Religion is a cheap personal dig at someone and nothing to do with Cantr or Crb or anything here, i'm surprised someone used it to flame a player just having a view on something. So if you can't flame within the limits of the accepted talking and swearing(*gives a well learned Witchi salute with two fingers*) on your own proposed subjects your a sad little flamer and that post made me laugh at the stupidity while it was there to read. There is an non-cantr related section if you wish to dicuss religion. Which i believe if you look there are people here who can discuss things like that and with a good knowledge of history and facts between them that do. If there is one thing i have learned here it's not to take whats said here to heart to all involved because some are not only hurting others personally but the gaming atmosphere with their words.

Plus i don't use msn because i know very little about computers and mine needs updating and it's not something i need to use (maybe i have a life as well outside the game so it's not needed with me) i don't come here to make cosy ooc friends even though i know some really nice people obviously play. I come to Cantr to enjoy peoples imaginations in the game that keeps my own imagination a fun world to lend to Cantr being given 15 little bundles of fun to create that could take any path they choose in their Cantr life.

Guys, guys, guys, personally I think we need to take this a little more seriously.

Flaming. Google defines it for you:
Flaming is the performance "art" of posting messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting

You forumers want to be Deliberately hostile and insulting?

You guys are getting 'argument/debating' mixed up with 'flaming'.

Now that I've said that, would anyone change their vote now that it's been clarified? (speaking theoretically)

I was just getting ready to point out exactly the same thing. Kudos, N-Aldwitch.

And, since I hate polls in Cantr, I don't think the vote really matters. The votes are truly cast with the behavior we exhibit during discussions.

Yes but did you look up forum flaming, or just flaming?

Flaming as in emitting flames, passionate: intense or expressing annoyance, or as in intensifier.
You don't need to google it just read the words from a book called the dictionary. Mine being the Concise Oxford English Dictionary in it's half ripped coverings. I still use those inventions called books from time to time still. Even though the world is there all at the end of the keyboard if i could be bothered to search for it. I like the physical exersise of book reading as well.

And the reason i responded was because the original start of this thread was asking people not to flame on road changes and other issues here.

The connotation of flaming for me on the forums involves the snide and malicious sort of posting, more along the lines of slander. While you are correct and have a point about the definition of flaming, I felt that it was the more obnoxious and unproductive form of posting that was being spoken out against.

I for one would not look forward to having serious discussions without emotion here, because that would not lead us to a better game. Yes, the road change thread was referenced. I think it was the you guys are f***ing stupid and trying to destroy my personal gaming existence kind of posting strategy that Agar was thinking of. Not only is it unproductive, it is the easiest way to make sure that the people who need to be reading your posts stop reading your posts. ;)

Kinvoya is, as always, right.

I've enjoyed the arguments of the past few days - we can't expect everyone to be nice all of the time. And at least things are descending into mud slinging because of real feelings.

What's a lot worse than this is the flaming for the sake of flaming that occurs in most other forums - something I'm glad these forums are without.
Whoever you vote for.

The government wins.
