Boat Docking

Recently, i've taken a boat on a trip.. undocked from my home and now i am returning... i've been sitting outside the town for days and can not redock onto the same exact spot i undocked from... We don't have any forms of docks there but in the past i've ridden boats right up to a town without a coaster harbor or anything.. did something change? I mean, i undocked from the same spot i'm trying to dock at... Sorry if this is mentioned somewhere, or if this is in the wrong spot but i looked earlier and the bug report page from the cantr.net site isn't even there anymore so i thought i'd ask you guys
