When does update occur exactly?
Maybe this is obvious or maybe it's a secret but when exactly does each turn end? Is it at the end of each Cantr hour or a little after or randowm or what?

Heh, I've been thinking about making a thread askingthe same question for awhile now, just never got around to it. It doesn't seem to happen right at the end of the hour...it's ten or fifteen minutes after, I think, though I've never pinpointed it exactly.
On a (sort of) similar note, if you step out on the road for a just a second to talk to someone before turning around, does anyone know how long until you get back to town? Seems to take quite awhile...

You'll stay on the road untill next turn, in my experience: it stays at 100% until about 11 or 12 past (which, again, from my experience seems to be when it ticks over, but it might differ per character, considering processing requirements)...
Could be wrong, but that's just what I've noticed.
Edit: Are we confusing 'turn' with another term? What's the period called which results in a resetting of minutes to 200?

I think the food consumption takes place over a few minutes, not all at the same time. And I think it goes from oldest to youngest.
From experience...

I used to wake up and play Cantr at about 10:30, but that's right on the downtime now
Luckily, I've changed my morning routine to include a wonderful thing called... breakfast
I've noticed that travelling and project progress occur at different times. Anyone else notice that?

Projects, Moving, Harvesting, whatever whatever, are all processed at different times. This was announced long ago, due to the fact that the game kept freezing up and crashing when EVERYTHING was trying to be processed at once. So, to get around this, things were split and processed at different times, all during the same turn. Movement might be 15 minutes after a turn change, eating might be 30 minutes after, projects might be 45 minutes after, etc.
I'm not saying that's correct, but I'm 99% sure that this change was announced and is still in effect.
As for eating, I must go with Surly on this, it appears that eating is oldest to youngest, in that order. Why? I think eating is processed starting at character 1 all the way up to character ######whatever. It's the most simplist way, just count 1 up every time and get the character to eat. Very simple thread in code, so it seems the most likely.

That is right. I worked out the timing as well... fairly easy to do. (obviously eating is once per day though, not every hour/turn...)Anthony Roberts wrote:Projects, Moving, Harvesting, whatever whatever, are all processed at different times.
