Bandages

Postby Peanut » Mon Jan 23, 2006 10:49 am

Why not a healing food (type?) like bandage?
It can be made from cotton string. (maybe even hemp or wool?)

It can be made with a loom?

And i might as well suggest,
Elastic bandage (needs rubber in the production process?)

antiseptic bandage (needs perhaps a solution from the alchemist table?)

Edited for thread title. -rklenseth

Good idea, though we should probably change the event text - "You eat 17 grams of bandages to gain 14 strength" is a bit awkward.

The ratio seems about right, tho. ;)

/Hellzon - likes bandages. Kind of like prepared food compared to raw vegetables, yes?

Just change it to 'use'. It's generic enough to apply to everything.

How about if the bandage is worn instead of used, and it increases/gives the character back a natural healing rate, for several days, then it becomes dirty/worn out and is useless.

The bandages could decay only when they are worn and be unrepairable. I know its prog changes, verses the eating bandages, but I think it makes more sense.

It would cost time to implement that.

And Jos frowns upon automatation doesn't he?

All i did was suggest an easily implementable suggestion.

I don't understand how it is automation, you get hungry/eat on a regular basis and this seems acceptable. Healing on a regular basis is similar. I think when Jos refers to automation he is thinking actions that your character takes that affect others or outside materail without your immediate attention.

Your right though, yours would be a simpler solution from a programming standpoint.
