[19:37] <Dough> it would be cool if you could make a noose and gallows in Cantr
[19:37] <Ash> And stocks
[19:37] <Dough> then everyone would know who did something wrong
[19:37] <Seko> I've been thinking for long that my game needs to have pain programmed in somehow. Because it's all unnatural newspawns can just keep running though they're hit half a dozen times
[19:37] <Dough> with stocks the character wouldn't be allowed to do anything....
[19:38] <Ash> Tomatoes!! WOO!
[19:38] <Seko> I'd set people stamina levels in when they'll start crying, when they'll collapse, when they'll faint.
[19:39] <Seko> And if they go through a lot, they'll become more tolerant to torture
[19:39] <Seko> Likes slaves would
[19:39] <AntichristOL> Then I'd get the torture my evil character needs along with human flesh as clothing.
[19:40] * Dough hurls at antis comment
[19:41] <AntichristOL> Any its not really that bad when you remember "CANTR IS NOT REAL LIFE, THEY CAN HAVE DIFFERENT MORALITY AND PHYSICS!!!!"
[19:41] <Seko> It would be cool if for example in Cantr, when you were thrown in jail, you could strangle a newspawn notethief thrown there with you and slowly sharpen his legbone against the stone floor, maybe it would take years but finally you'd have a weapon to charge against the guard
[19:41] <Ash> I wouldn't wanna be thrown in Jail with Seko on that account.
[19:43] <Dough> or when you get hit you can't move as fast
[19:44] <AntichristOL> Things like that would make the game much more fun for the evil characters, but think of the good characters, they could keep religious relics or protect the dead. Another good thing would be the abilty to exume corpses.
[19:44] <Seko> Exume?
[19:44] <AntichristOL> Dig up Seko.
[19:45] <AntichristOL> Anyway, why am I the only one who feels that torture and skin wearing in cantr would be good.
[19:46] <AntichristOL> There would be nothing wrong with it in game.
[19:46] * Fleegle looks up
[19:46] <AntichristOL> My evil characters would love it.
[19:46] <Dough> I want gallows and stocks
[19:47] <Dough> gilliteen
[19:47] <AntichristOL> I second Dough.
[19:47] <Seko> It's just that I don't want to have the chance that a newbie who has no ingame motive might kill a well-developped character
[19:49] <Dough> HAndcuffs!!!!
[19:49] <AntichristOL> Leg irons.
[19:49] <AntichristOL> Rope.
[19:49] <Fleegle> handcuffs are a good idea, if you want to lock someone up but don't have a jail
[19:50] <Dough> exactly^
[19:50] <Seko> Yeah and sexy too
[19:50] <AntichristOL> We have rope we could use that.
[19:50] <Seko> Yeah
[19:50] <Fleegle> true
[19:50] <Dough> yeah
[19:50] <Seko> Handcuffs are pretty much hi-tech
[19:50] <Fleegle> but can rope be used in that manner?
[19:50] <Seko> Not yet
[19:50] <AntichristOL> Shackles aren't that high tech.
[19:50] <Fleegle> no more high-tech than a sports-car
[19:50] <Seko> Yeah...
[19:50] <AntichristOL> Rope can be used to tie people up and if you knot it you can use it as a simple whip.
[19:51] <Dough> yeah
[19:51] <Seko> The thing is someone steals a bit of rope and uses it to tie up someone when the player is offline...
[19:51] <AntichristOL> Then we have a project, escaping from ropes.
[19:51] <Fleegle> but similarly, someone can drag you when you're offline
[19:51] <Seko> There should be some auto-struggle option
[19:51] <Seko> Umm, yeah
[19:52] <Seko> but it's much easier to get rope than a locked building.
[19:52] <Seko> Well, it should be.
[19:52] <Fleegle> true enough
[19:52] <Seko> Actually, seeing how rare rope is these days, it would make sense!
[19:52] <Fleegle> I think it should be a hit and miss thing
[19:52] <AntichristOL> It should be like dragging, it should really tire the person doing it out, maybe even 50% of the bar.
[19:52] <Seko> Yeah
[19:53] <Fleegle> you can only do it once a day, and it might fail
[19:53] <Seko> Yeah but it should be available also on the road
[19:53] <AntichristOL> And like breaking locks, people would see you doing it, and people would see when people escaped.
[19:53] <Fleegle> yeah
[19:54] <AntichristOL> That's a good idea Seko, but how do you take the person back to town? Maybe dragging on roads would be a good idea?
[19:54] <Seko> Yeah
[19:54] <wichita> Yeah
[19:54] <Seko> I think I've suggested that once
[19:54] <Seko> I think it's really stupid that even if you're walking faster than the newspawn you're chasing and there's several of you, you can't tackle him down and stop him.
That's from cantr chat when we disscussed various things. I edited out the chatter. Anyway the main points are:
Handcuffs
Dragging on roads
Tying people up with rope
A pain bar effecting work
Stocks and throwing things at people in them
Execution machines (expensive and take long time to work)
Escape projects for the rope tied cantriians.
I KNOW SOME OF THESE HAVE BEEN SUGGESTED BEFORE BUT THERE ARE SOME GOOD NEW IMPLIMENTATIONS AND REMINDERS IN THERE!Just for you complainers....
