Powerful Wasters?
You can make a waster to train with... that hits for 6.
Or you can make a stick which hits for 2, and costs alot less... with much less chance of accidental injury.
Surely a waster should only hit for 1?

Indeed, my point was that wasters should be 1 to make them more useful. Otherwise... why not train with sticks? Cheaper, and less damage... quite simply better.
Wasters are too powerful. Who would have thought I would have ever said that? They are solely training weapons, and should have a value of 0 or 1 to reflect that.

The difference should be in usage based deterioration. Sticks should deteriorate rapidly if used for battle training.
And don't you deal less damage with a bare fist than with a waster? It would be much better if barehanded fighting was a different skill (at least partially), then if you wanted to learn to fight with swords, you would have to use wasters.

I should let Surly have his way every once in a while. I can't promise when we'll get to it (should be soon, but I get yelled at for making brash with the database. ), or what exactly we'll do, but there is no reason it will upset the balance of the Cantrian universe.
