Cannibalism
I know, it's gruesome, but I think there should be a way to consume bodies. It could be done out of desparation in deserted cities, or as a ritual in shadowy religious practices. Of course it would be discouraged in most societies, but it would make room for many different philosophies (and interesting crimes).
Maybe there could be a project requiring a knife of some sort to prepare a body, which would then need to be cooked.

How am I not myself?

1234-5 You see Nathan (head of fancypants clan) say "Please, no one touch the dead body of my wife. When my fellow clansmen return with our van, I'm going to take her home to entomb her there."
1234-5 You see a man in his twenties begin to eat Virginia (Nathans Wife)
1234-5 You see a man in his tewnties say "Blarga Blarga Blarga! Virginia Good! Taste like Ham! *blodied mouth splits in manical laughter at his own joke*"
==============================
1234-5 You see Uber-Lord Greg use a man in his twenties on grilling a man in his twenties.
1234-5 You see a man in his twenties say "I'm not quite dead yet!"
1234-5 You see Uber-Lord Greg say "Shut up! You're not fooling anyone. You'll be stone dead in a minute."
===============================
If we do get the ability to eat people, why should they have to be dead first?

I think this has been suggested before but yes, it would make sense. But there should be a rotting factor and you should be able to see how long the corpse has been approximately lying there so that it wouldn't be a total surprise if you get a food poisoning. Oh, but would it just be so that you'd have an option to dissect a corpse and as a result you'd get yourself some raw meat? Since in that case I think the problem wouldn't go away in most areas, many places have mountains of meat lying around. Only like... maybe Reniov region has so little animals that there's actual trouble of getting meat (and other products), other areas usually have so many animals that they're just loads of trouble. So humans wouldn't be much better... exept if you get fine newspawn skin, then you could make fancy gloves out of it. And lampshades like the Nazis did, once we get lamps.
I think it would be appropriate to allow eating raw meat, be that from animals or people, but only if your hunger is on a certain level, and maybe the meat wouldn't remove hunger, just keep it on a tolerable level. Some other side effects might be added too, like tiredness because your body must use more energy on digesting this heavy diet... I've seen corpse-eating been rp'd once, it would be useful if it could also actually be used to relieve the hunger problem.
