I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed these two things and thought that.

Doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed, especially since it is recently added. lol

Yeah... Existing ugliness is bad enough, but new changes to the website design should be improvements, not steps backward.

Hello,
Today I have two small announcements.

GreeK right now:

We’re going to program so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of programming, you’re going to come to me and go ‘Please, please, we can’t program anymore.’ You’ve heard this one. You’ll say ‘Please, Mr. GreeK, we beg you sir, we don’t want to program anymore. It’s too much. It’s not fair to everybody else.’ And I’m going to say ‘I’m sorry, but we’re going to keep programming, programming, programming, We’re going to make Cantr great again.

I have the "early access" box checked but I don't see a refresh button anywhere on the events page. I did see the character list highlighting in action (nice touch) so I know the early access thing is working. Not sure if it's on my end or something else.

It's live refreshing - no buttons. GreeK was explaining to me the technical aspect that's going on behind the scenes and it's quite impressive. Basically it's more reliable and moves from a 3-second refresh to a live refresh. So if you're viewing the Events page, the moment someone makes an event (speech, movement, etc) it will appear instantly for you.

Oh, gotcha. One thing I noticed was that sometimes an event is displayed multiple times. When I noticed it, it was speech being duplicated. At first I thought maybe another player had typed the same thing into the speech box, but then I noticed it happening to multiple people during the conversation. When I refreshed (clicked the events tab) the problem corrected. This happened a couple of times. I think it might have happened while switching browser tabs and then coming back.

I've moved comments from the announcements thread.
I've also locked it, because it was meant open to allow a larger group of people to report the changes noticed in the game, but it didn't prove useful.

Re: Game changes - discussion about implemented changes.
I just noticed that two of my characters have a funny little icon next to the building name where they are currently located. Wondering if this is new.

That's the graphic. I disabled Early Access to UI Updates and it's still there. Can anyone explain. Seems like a new feature. Only thing I can think of is that those two characters of mine are relatively close at the moment (not the same location but a few towns away from one another)

The tooltip says it all.
It wasn't announced, because it's one of a minor UI changes (which were mentioned in the previous in-game announcement).

Ah thanks. I sometimes miss tooltips being a mostly mobile player.
