Dragon cave

Postby SekoETC » Tue Jan 27, 2009 10:47 pm

Well, looks like I'm hooked. Trying to catch eggs I haven't seen before or have only seen rarely. I was thinking of waiting until my first hatchling grows up but then I saw this Image egg and I had to get it. But three image links was too long for the signature limit.

I read somewhere that hatchlings get ill if they get too many views in comparison to clicks. I wonder if that means through people using links from the profiles of the parent dragons or if it comes from the owner checking on it too many times.

I was playing with dragoncave some time ago, but ended when my hatchlings died...
Now (=yesterday  ) I've found DragonAdopters, and here's my baby:

Genius. Whoever came up with that site is a genius. Pay a half-decent pixel artist a bit to rustle up a bunch of cute dragons, turn it into a collectible game. Make that collection require getting a page linked all over the shop for people to click to. Put an add on that page. Et, viola! Traffic and the odd ad click. Money comes in.

You do realise that, by linking all over the place in this manner, you are basically earning this guy money for almost nothing?
Whoever you vote for.

The government wins.

You obviously don't realize how many people do. Based on their web traffic, I would expect that they pull in 5-10 grand a month from banner ads alone.

Oh wow! My earth dragon grew up! Now I can fit normal links again. I don't quite like the incubator, it's too tall. Although I suppose I could just draw my own one but it's easier to have links that people can click on directly.

I would like to have a glowing black egg but now I'll wait that my current ones hatch first.

Hey, you're copying me! I think it might be a guardian dragon because I looked at the parents and one was a black dragon while the other one was a guardian dragon. Their other egg is a green glowing black egg, so that might yield a black dragon. I think glowing or with texture looks better than a plain colored egg but I wouldn't want to have a bunch of dragons of the same type, like some people do.

That's what you get from too much attention. Don't tell me you kept checking on him several times a day!
