Are we allowed to post pictures of our character in the description spot instead of writing out one?
And if so, how do we upload the picture?

We don't support images in the character description field, since Cantr is primarily a text based game.

I've seen one character who had a link to a picture in his description, although he has since died.

So does that mean we can't post, for example, tinypic URLs to an image that either is or resembles our character? Even if it's in addition to the text description?

I honestly don't have a problem with posting links to images. Just my opinion.

If it's something that ever becomes a trend, I think it would be an idea to have some basic rules or guideline regulations.
I'm already expecting to see links replacing descriptions completely, leading to images of a caveman, a modern hentai girl sat next to him, and a cybernetic darlek passing through with a wooden cart.

In my opinion, the pictures should not be allowed.. just a written description. There is a thread here for posting the pic... You start adding photos and you start pulling cantr away from the text base game and turning it graphic. I know they are already in game using notes. I still, just don't like the idea.

Agreed. It takes away a lot of imagination. You can get away with it in notes, just... Simply because it's considered something a cantrian has drawn.

In regards to that, some of us don't want to post the picture of the character, because then everyone knows who you play.

But the majority of the pictures posted in that thread are NOT by the character's player

Agreed. But if I wanted to post a picture of my characters, I couldn't do so without -someone- knowing who I played. Either someone else posting a picture for me, or because I posted them myself. I guess it could be understood that they're not necessarily my characters just because I posted them.
