Suggestion to add "You hear a loud noise from outside." message that appears to every person inside every room or hold when there's a lockbreaking tick, including persons who are inside inner rooms, inner-inner-inner rooms, ships docked to ships. In other words, we should be notifying the entire building, ship, or vehicle, and more insistently - considering just how important locks are gameplay-wise.
"Loud noise from outside" is vague enough in that it does not specify which door is being broken (is it one of the inner ones? the outer? which one? the characters don't get to know, but they do know something is happening and players get some much needed chances to react).
Proper break-in notification inside all rooms.

Lady here.
I don't remember all the reasons that were given but I really don't see a need to repeat the entire discussion. It might be hard to search out but I KNOW there was a suggestion about this before.

The beauty is, I don't have to give a reason to poo-poo a suggestion. It's your job to sell it, not mine to explain why I don't like it.
