Carving Words onto Weapons - Rejected (duplicate)

Postby Lore » Sun Feb 27, 2011 5:59 pm

I was thinking, after coming into possession of a weapon of moderately high value, what if we could carve things into our weapons? We could name them, or state we owned them. It would make identifying stolen property easier, and we could name our weapons! It could be engraved using, say, a chisel or a knife, and appear in the description of the weapon.

It would be good to keep the score of people killed with that weapon... 8)

This has already been suggested. Do a search for "label"

I looked at that, briefly, before I posted this. It's not exactly the same, is it? I mea, labelling something, which I assume could be removed, isn't the same as permanently carving a word onto a weapon.

If you are able to carve something into something else, you are also able to un-carve the same thing. :)

Labels will hopefully be introduced soon, and then we could put a personal description on most things. Probably we will start out in small scale though, with only a few object types being able to be labelled.
